  1. I don't think they should go ahead and fly to London with a family on the hope that such logic would prevail. The family would be taking the risk, not NCL. Their best option now is to take all measures to get renewed passports. Actually traveling to Texas should be on the table.
  2. You would have to get that answer from NCL but I would guess that they have that policy because they have decided it is too complicated for them to check passports for every specific countries rules of duration. While the UK does not require six months they probably have some rule of duration. Six months is safe for NCL. Airlines have the rules too. NCL can have a more restrictive rule than the country you are cruising from.
  3. I never stayed that late, I wrap up between 3 and 3:30, but I asked a driver a couple of years ago and was told they wrap up between 5 and 5:30 when the consession starts collecting rental chairs and umbrellas from the beach.
  4. The chances of catching Covid in Bermuda are the same as in the US. If I had any concern of catching Covid it would be on the ship. Out and about in Bermuda I am usually outdoors where catching covid is less likely.
  5. Her shop is in the Clocktower Mall.
  6. I didn’t say the Elite cocktail hours events didn’t use Michael's Club. I said it was not a Captain’s Club lounge. Also do you not understand that everyone is a Captain’s Club member after they earn some points? Only Elite and above have the cocktail hours perk.
  7. I believe he is on Royal Caribbean these days.
  8. I never heard that mistake made and it seems odd to me that you or your friends would refer to Sky Lounge or Michaels Club as the Captains Club lounge. The cocktail hours were only for Elite and above members and there was usually someone at the door checking status from5-7. I go way back on Celebrity. I recall when Michaels Club was a cigar lounge then later the piano lounge. None I knew ever called it the Captains Club lounge.
  9. My Canadian relatives claim that because my mother was born in Canada that I am Canadian. I think they are are messing with me. 😄
  10. Same here except I know it does not matter unless Celebrity adds a new level in between.
  11. Despite your pessimism it has been accomplished. Thousands of Americans have taken closed loop cruises using birth certificates, a small percentage have had medical emergencies, and they got home. Do you think they are still in Canada or whatever? LOL.
  12. They would need a temporary or emergency passport to fly back. It is not an ideal situation but it not as bad a situation as some make it sound. They will able to get one and return to the US. Of course it would be much better to have a passport and not have to go through the extra step of getting a waiver.
  13. BDA Watersports in Somerset does a Jet Ski and snorkel tour. After the tour go to Woodys which is nearby and has the Bermuda fish sandwiches on raisin bread. Their sandwiches are highly rated. https://bdawatersports.com

    Caves?

Sounds like a good plan. Some have said they were able to do a walk up so I expect they arrived before the cruise ship tours.

    Caves?

I read on another site this morning that the wait can be a couple of hours if you don't call them and make a reservation.
  16. That's nice but this is the Princess board so we are logicaly assuming that the since OP posted their question on the Princess board that they were asking about a Princess itinerary from Seattle. If they were on Oceania they would have to have a passport with six months left as Oceania requires passports on all their sailings regardless of the itinerary.
  17. I usually only order ice cream for dessert on Royal.
  18. On over 60 cruises there were only about 3 times was there a medivac at sea. That is a last resort. So realistically the odds are low. Suppose you were that ill do you think they would check for a passport? Also I think being admitted to a Canadian hospital rather than a US hospital would not be terrible. What is the risk?
  19. You are fed up about something that is the cruise line’s business. You can relax though as it us well known that it is unlikely for cruise lines to give a break.
  20. It was dedicated event in one of the longes between 5-7. It was not a dedicated lounge.
  21. This was true about the influencer who owned a condo in my building for about a year. She got packages every day and one week the Dell was the best and two weeks latter a MacBook was the best etc.etc. She did a lot of unboxings. I watched a few of her videos. Had a lot of subscribers because I think she was young and pretty. Her channel was mostly BS. After buying the condo and remodeling she suddenly sold it and and moved to a rental building. I suspect she was in over her head financialy. She had a whole video on moving in and then a whole video on moving out...a lot of narcissism.
  22. Yes to you should get over it. You don't have to get over it but it won't matter if you don't get over it and I don't really care if you don't get over it.
  23. No and the cruise I will be going on next won't be on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity. It will be on Oceania.
