  1. No never but like you I had a pair of sunglasses taken from my hotel room (in China).
  2. These may have been more useful in the aft cabins on the Grand instead of the Crown.😉
  3. I didn't have the drink package for either of these cruises so you're probably right.
  4. I bought the 12 bottles of water on the Majestic in March for just over $10 Australian and it is again available on the Royal in October. Both of these are Royal class ships, that may be the difference.
  5. What a positive attitude you have for life. Wishing you great weather and calm seas for your cruise.
  6. Off the Majestic this week from the round Australia cruise and the cabins that had passengers with covid inside didn't have the tables outside. They only had to put them outside briefly when the meals were delivered then had to put them back inside after they got their meals. But you could tell the cabins by the red garbage bags outside (I guess their wet towels and maybe dirty sheets) and the extra large food menus hung from their door handles.
  7. That's OK, I think a few of us cruise too many lines and can't remember all the extras with various types of cabins. 🙂
  8. We have booked a P&O mini suite on the Pacific Adventure for May/June and we are getting priority boarding. I don't know know if this is a change since the restart or since the old grand class ships started with P&O. I just checked on the P&O site. See the linked PDF below Scroll over to Your Home away from Home checklist table and it lists all the inclusions for a mini suite. Priority embarkation, disembarkation and tender disembarkation is ticked. https://cdn-media.pocruises.com.au/-/media/b2c/ships/deckplans/4284_poau_pi_pv-accommodation-guide-2022_finalsept2022.pdf?rev=4e05db0308ec45ba9bc8e4fcc020ce68&hash=BA0F342AD08DDD96B8E4A6495537F8AE
  9. Other things to consider with the mini suite, the lounge to sit on comes in handy sometimes and you do get priority boarding with the mini suite. Is it worth the extra money? To some it would be, to others not.
  10. Thanks Sarah for taking the time to type out all the port and sea days for the WC 25. I enjoyed looking through it.
  11. I had an issue with my gall bladder so I had to eat a very low fat diet on my cruises last year. For afternoon tea I had the soup in the international cafe while my husband had his coffee. I found that afternoon tea was hardest time to find healthy food and it hasn't been mentioned yet. Princess uses potato to thicken their soups not cream so beware the carbs in 'the cream of' soups.
  12. I haven't had a cabin in this position but it may be an idea to take along some comfortable fitting ear plugs. I had one above the atrium once on the Sun Princess and we could hear easily hear the noise on the party nights (the Captain's welcome etc) at least the noise stopped by 10 or 11pm.
  13. I'm sure the captains and some of the crew will have a lovely day catching up with one another.
  14. There is a great little airplane museum near the centre of town run by volunteers. It's worth going to if you have time. We came across it while following the old wall around the town.
  15. We stayed a week in London near Waterloo Station before our last European cruise in October 2019. So for us it was easy to catch the train from Waterloo to Southampton. There were taxis waiting at Southampton station to take us to our hotel. On the plus side we enjoyed the scenery from the train, the seats were comfortable (first class) and the train ran on time. What we didn't like was that there was nowhere to put your suitcases so we just jammed them in between seats and luckily the train our carriage was not full. We purchased our tickets before leaving Australia and got them for a much cheaper rate.
  16. We felt like this a bit before our last cruise as it was during the start of a new wave but we were not going to lose our money so we went and had a wonderful time. We lowered our risk of catching covid as much as we could as we too were in an ocean view cabin. I enjoyed the shows (kept that mask on in the theatre), the food, the ports (got ourselves around), listening to the waves on the promenade deck and most of all not cooking, cleaning and doing the grocery shopping.
  17. The ones that run longways with the ship are very narrow. The head of the bed faced the front of the ship.
  18. Last time we were suppose to call in there the ship had to go to an alternate cruise port because of poor weather.
  19. We have done plenty of relocation trips with Princess as we love sea days and we can also get a small land based holiday in. We are booked on the Royal from Honolulu this October and from past experience are expecting lots of trivia at least two normal ones during the day (morning and afternoon) with also a progressive team trivia in the early afternoon on sea days. At night time there should be on most evenings a themed trivia such as a music or where in the world (is this found) with photos. Therefore could be up to four trivia sessions on sea days. Princess have a large cruise directors staff and does tend to run a few extra activities during the day, such as ring and bean bag tosses, golf chipping in the pool, who am I?, Pictionary, carpet bowls and various other contests sometimes with small prizes or a cheap bottles of wine if you're over 18. If you like to get involved in things your main complaint will be you can't fit everything in. 😀
  20. Thanks for the photos. I've never been invited but I'm working on building up my days. Great to see what's on the menu for when I eventually get there! 😁
  21. On our 10 day cruise in June on the Pacific Explorer the menu did not change the entire time in the Dragon Lady, we were told that this was a new change that they had made. Hopefully they have changed it back to having two menus. You might want to check this out before making multiple booking in the dragon Lady. The other dining rooms did change their menus after a couple of days, beside breakfast in the Waterfront. The coffee was good at Charlie's bar down in the atrium. 😀
  22. Thanks for posting your thoughts on the cabin. The bathroom looks great. I can see what you mean about the TV above the lounge. We had a obstructed view cabin and the lounge was on the same side as the bed which was better for viewing the TV from the lounge. We found those two wall hooks great as well. Perhaps this is one thing that Princess could add to their cabins.
  23. Thanks for your review, I enjoyed reading it. Well at least you tried a new line, it wasn't for you but at least you now know that. We are still working our way through the various mass market lines that come to Australia and last year in was HAL that we decided to try for the first time. Now the good thing about it being so quiet after 10pm was that we had the quietest central cabin that we have ever had on any cruise ship. 😁
