  1. First I have Quest on my ship, clearly a very popular event. Maybe even twice a week. Then I would start a weekly guest talent show, audition anything and everything that people can do and create a group worth watching. Free show for the investment of one Fun Squad member for a couple hours a day to weed out people no one would care to see on stage. Carnival has dabbled with this in the past, but never done it correctly. I would then work on a new revenue generating event that is also fun since that is what Carnival wants from their new cruise directors. Something people would enjoy wagering on.
  2. I understand this rating after trying a few other cruise lines recently. I was paying more in some cases and not getting more and MSC was the worst food we have ever had at sea. It is not just the quality of the food, but the options with other lines. Celebration has nine places at night for me to choose to eat from and frankly all the food was really good. RCCL had plenty of options, but they were all for an additional fee. I worry that this was just because Celebration is the flagship right now and that this might change later.
  3. Agree completely, used to be my favorite activity and now it is always someone winning who is just cheating.
  4. Me too, he caught me twice in this video, boarding and walking through the Buffet.
  5. This! If everything goes as expected, you should be fine.
  6. Love that they are switching to real butter. Margarine has been proven to be much worse for us than just good old fashioned butter and butter just tastes better.
  7. Yes, Carnival Celebration April 17th 2023 with Premium internet. I checked it several times on our cruise and that was about the same speed each time. I cannot speak to why. I did not know they were Starlink yet, I thought that was a future upgrade.
  8. Inedible is an extreme description of the food quality and unwarranted, but it was a much lower quality than any cruise we had taken pre covid. Unfortunately, I can also attest to the class of the ship making a difference in the food. We did the Pride three months ago and the Celebration last month and the difference in food was amazing. If Carnival would put the effort into other ships like they do the flagship, then few would complain. I am sure this is a calculated decision though based on their budget. I suspect that a cruise on the Celebration in a few years will be a sad decrease in quality also, but I hold out hope.
  9. See, that is all I am asking. Skip the inspections and muster drills and get those pesky lifeboats out of my sightline. We go down with a smile on our face when she sinks. No one drowns with an outstanding balance though.
  10. This would really bother me. I know it should not as Carnival has no choice or control over this inspection, but if this is my cruise, I just lost two hours on the ship. Two precious hours.
  11. I cannot advise on the Legend. Quest was on the Pride in January and not on the Celebration. Lee Mason told me he did not see the Celebration getting Quest as they do not have a sufficient venue that is both large enough and private enough for the event. Hard to accept that answer since they are holding Quest in much smaller venues on other ships. Celebration has "Adult Game Night" and sadly I heard people calling this Quest. One person was commenting that this was silly and she did not know what the big deal was about Quest. Unfortunately, she did not see Quest as this event was very different that Quest. Adult game night was boring trivia questions with a sexual theme.
  12. Yes, I tested this to be certain on the Celebration in April. I intentionally chose an noon check in time with FTTF and I arrived at the port at 8:45am. They opened the line at 9:10am and I was ushered right inside. FTTF can ignore check in time and arrive when they please. To me, that is the best perk of buying FTTF.
  13. Worth it of course all depends on you, break even is three sodas a day and it does work right until the end of the cruise. Waiters in the dining rooms will also bring a soda for your meals on the drink package so one Soda a meal pretty much breaks even. Before they switched to Pepsi products, my kid really made out on this package.
  14. Oh that makes sense, Lee is headed to Memphis this week for the Cruise Director's conference.
  15. Wonder what is going on. I was on the Celebration last month and had a 10am boarding time. We were on this ship before 11.
  16. I recorded this with Premium internet last month
  17. This morning the card worked again, I was able to charge the remaining $50 to the bill. No clue why, I never called anyone.
  18. Good afternoon, has anyone dealt with this issue? I booked a cruise with two rooms for my family of four and the deposit was $350. I bought four $100 AARP gift cards and the first three applied just fine reducing the deposit by 100, but the last only applied $50 to the balance, but now when I try to apply the remaining $50 to the bill I get invalid gift card and the same occurs if I do a check the balance. There does not appear to be a credit for $50 on the account. Thanks
  19. See myself in several of your sail away party videos while I was recording it.
  20. We were on this cruise and it was one of our best ever. I feel Carnival has changed the game with Excel class and I really disliked their previous endeavors at larger ships. Except for the elevators which I think they did the best they could there, Carnival has hit the mark with this class. Now if they ever make the mistake of making Chibang and Cucina a paid venue then Excel class would be a giant mess.
  21. Was on the Pride for the third time in December. I really love the Pride. She does not have all the bells and whistles of Excel class, but what you gain is space. 42 square foot of public space per guest compared to 28 on the Excel class. Plenty of easy to find seating in all venues, elevators not packed full of people, being able to walk into a show at five minutes until and find a great seat. Many do not appreciate the greatness of the Pride.
  22. No one checks if people walking to their room to put their bags away are Diamond, Platinum, or FTTF. Frankly anyone can walk to their room and put their bags away without being challenged. Carnival really needs to step up their enforcement here, but they have always been the line of making rules they have no intention of enforcing. Sadly, people get away with a lot on a Carnival ship if they are willing to just ignore rules, but I catch one little, tiny fish that I did not even keep from my balcony and I am banned for life. Go figure.
  23. Your points appear in the hub in your casino account. I attached a short video. Screen_Recording_20230422_184305_Carnival HUB.mp4
  24. Exactly, on the Celebration, Carnivale is for assigned seating and Festivale is for YTD.
