  1. My test was mainly because so many people on the boards have been saying that offers would be coming in without much money or time spent in the casino without quantifying the amount of time or money. Unfortunately, I think that many people who gamble often think that they spent only a short time and amount in the casino and people asking the question would consider the time and money spent to get an offer to be rather high and unreasonable. I hope that I am in the next round of offers, we shall see.
  2. Booked on the Jubilee for January 2024, Just need them to delay the release date for three weeks so that my cruise is first. I am sure that no one will mind.
  3. Exactly, I just take my Mom's Passport number and expiration when she travels with us and check her in when I check us in. If this is a separate booking though, you may need their login info.
  4. This will be very common on the Mardi Gras with so many places to eat and we did something just like this only two weeks ago on the Celebration. We had a totally underwhelming meal at Pig and Anchor and then around 7:30 went to the MDR and just had appetizers and desserts.
  5. Many people ask how may points it takes to get a casino offer and often on this board people have claimed that it does not take much play to get one so I tested it on my cruise in April. I played 30 minutes each day on my seven day cruise making sure to spend no less than $20 each day and spend at least 30 minutes playing every day. This resulted in 407 points at the casino and so far after a little over two weeks home, no offers at all. It appears to me that points accumulated at about 1 point for every $2.50 wagered. I will update if an offer comes in at a later date, but I suspect the points have to be much higher than what I achieved which would mean more time in the casino than I am personally willing to spend on a cruise.
  6. Yes, just got off the Celebration Sunday and YTD is the only reasonable choice now in my opinion. Really long waits after 7pm.
  7. No, it does not. Once John Heald offered a discount Black Friday of either 2018 or 2019, but that is the only one I have ever seen. It kind of sells itself, they do not have to offer discounts. People who know they cannot break even often buy it.
  8. Hard to read, but it is the warning about eating undercooked food and the dangers inherent.

  10. Hard to justify that price. I live in Florida and we can get a really amazing seafood dinner for a lot less than $48 a person. Combine that with also passing up a meal you already paid for to go and it becomes even less appealing.
  11. We did not make an appointment, but we only had seven.
  12. I have not cruised without FTTF since it started and yes, when I get a 10am check in time it feels like I probably wasted the money, but when I get unlucky and draw that noon or 1pm check in time, then FTTF just bought be two hours on the ship, because I am going to be in front of that terminal at 9am.
  13. I have a 10am check in time with FTTF and I plan on arriving at 9am. I do not mind waiting a while once I am in the terminal.
  14. Too many travel agents on the boards these days that want to sugar coat all aspects of cruising and portray it as a perfect dream world. Service, entertainment, and food can never be bad, and we are bad people if we ever think either.
  15. This is the reason I do not even care for one in the rooms. What people do in these rooms and anything in them will amaze you.
  16. Escargot was not served on our Pride 5 day cruise in December. It has always been my favorite Carnival dish.
  17. The Pride, Still my favorite ship in the fleet. I love the decor.
  18. Been on cruises to Mexico twice this year and back again in four days. Have not had an issue, but the ports are not the areas that crazy things are happening in lately.
  19. Yes, time for some variety, I can already tell you what will be on the menu for almost every night of my cruise.
  20. Yes, the 9th, 16th and 23rd cruises have been sold out for a while now, but so were several previous cruises. There has to be something else occurring if boarding starts that late. Maybe a coast guard inspection or tour for travel agents. I certainly hope I am on the ship for a while come 12:30.
  21. No Boarding has been starting lately between 10:30 and 11. I suspect that something specific is occurring for your cruise. I have a 10am check in time for my April 9th Celebration cruise.
