  1. The smart bags are banned because of lithium batteries. This is a tag that you insert into the inside of the case or attach to the outside
  2. Cynthia after reading your lost luggage (surely hope you get it back soon) I’ve gone ahead & order luggage trackers (GPS enabled). We cross pack 1/2 & 1/2 when we travel together. Melody
  3. Converse sneaks, yes. Leggings, yes. Sundresses with sweater or wrap, yes. Black wrap dress, perfect (wear it both formal nights with different shawl or jewelry).
  4. I have friends (from England) that cruise Cunard frequently. They aren’t totally thrilled that the dress requirements have changed (except for easing luggage requirements). perfect red dress, that’ll look perfect on you. enjoy the afternoon teas on Cunard. Melody
  5. We took our profile picture & had it made into an 8x10 car magnet by VistaPrint. It’s been on many cruises & hopefully many more.
  6. Get at Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Amazon. Under $20. (& they have colors too!!) Very useful. Mine has its own travel bag
  7. Ooh, that’s pretty. I miss our JJill. That & Talbots closed to make room for a ContainerStore
  8. I carry a collapsible cane in my carryon bag as I never know if my foot is going to go out on me. I’ve used it more than once
  9. Lois, good news on the leg. I’d take the cane on your Alaska cruise (just in case).
  10. Don’t wait, there may be a limit on passengers because of lifeboat limits.
  11. Our December Harmony cruise (FLL) was very reasonable then the airfare. Holy cats! $1400 rt from DEN-FLL & that’s SW. which will also require 2 1-way car rentals (as airport garage parking has jumped from $120 to $400 for same time length. April 2022 we flew first class from COS-FLL for $1000rt. Nuts! but the cruise price was good…
  12. A Pategonia, Eddie Bauer, Colombia hooded rain jacket (that folds into its own pocket, a warm hat & gloves (just in case). A sweater or jean jacket. Otherwise pretty much what you’d wear at home
  13. It might’ve been reserved as a charter & the charter didn’t generate enough bookings & cancelled
  14. CosAbao Beach is fabulous. Great snorkeling. We’ve gone twice, both times by taxi in a group of 6 or 8. 2019 last time the taxi round trip was $100 total. Go early as it becomes a locals beach at 1pm (lots of buses & kiddos then
  15. Kat looks fabulous (night mode really works on that phone). Have a fabulous time Lois, I’m relieved that you have a cane & how nice that the hotel director gave it to you. Balancing on the ball of your foot without the cane to help with balance wouldn’t be fun (or safe). Melody
  16. Lois, are you able to bear any weight on your leg? Will the cruise line let you take the crutches/cane? Hope you have a safe trip home
  17. TB is always a go too & Chaps SPF shirts are his go too. The Columbia SPF shirts & Eddie Bauer SPF shirts work well too. He’s also a big fan of the Eddie Bauer SPF Ascent shirts & trekker pants
  18. I’m sorry you’re not enjoying your long-awaited cruise. Hope you start feeling better soon
  19. Decadence (on right) & Tropitini
  20. Oh Lois that just stinks! Hope it’s not a serious injury. Could you do a wheelchair more comfortably than a crutch or cane
  21. Exactly what I was going to post Alidor!!! our first cruise from Hawaii (to Vancouver) was 6 weeks after my husband’s colon cancer surgery (no knowing if he’d be around). 3 years later we did Vancouver to Hawaii (on Celebrity) for our 50th anniversary. & spent an additional week in Hawaii following. Still our absolute favorite cruise. We kept saying to each other, why did we wait so long?? We’re thinking about another Vancouver to Hawaii cruise for our 55th in 2024. It is longer than a week (5 sea days before Hawaiian islands). Plan on 2-3 days in Hawaii following the cruise. Melody
