  1. Exactly what I was going to post Alidor!!! our first cruise from Hawaii (to Vancouver) was 6 weeks after my husband’s colon cancer surgery (no knowing if he’d be around). 3 years later we did Vancouver to Hawaii (on Celebrity) for our 50th anniversary. & spent an additional week in Hawaii following. Still our absolute favorite cruise. We kept saying to each other, why did we wait so long?? We’re thinking about another Vancouver to Hawaii cruise for our 55th in 2024. It is longer than a week (5 sea days before Hawaiian islands). Plan on 2-3 days in Hawaii following the cruise. Melody
  2. We have the 13ProMax too. Les didn’t even take his big bag of cameras & lens this past cruise! Fabulous pictures. Kat, play with the night settings. The portrait setting will automatically blur the background. Fun camera tgat actually works as a phone!! Melody
  3. Luggage. I think I’ve had every brand. I loved my Tumi, it got lost 😢. I adored my Briggs & Reilly, it’s just too heavy nowadays. I’ve had pretty good luck with Delsey Air. But our new favorites are TravelPro Crew we have the 25” & 21” bags. They’ve been on 5 big trips & still look brand new. Lightweight & sturdy hope you all have great trips!!! Melody
  4. Awesome! I love snow ‘machining’. Our niece lives in upstate New Hampshirite & we ride with them anytime we’re back in winter, it’s a hoot! Nothing like flying on a frozen lake!!
  5. I used to work on Pan Am (& Delta was our reciprocal airline for life…unfortunately it was life of the airline).
  6. It’s 7 am. 72 inside house, 84 already outside. Going up to 90+ again today. We do have the chance of monsoon rain this afternoon. Lois I know you’re traveling this upcoming week, be safe. Sherry, enjoy the Wildman. Sharon you’re in Europe soon Kat you’re on your barge adventure very soon. I might go to Costco 😎. Y’all have fun!! Want to see pictures!!!
  7. Anita, thanks for the hint on the Wave Cafe, love a good omelet. Sabor is the Mexican, they have fabulous guac & excellent margaritas
  8. You will be Diamond on Royal (that’s the highest reciprocal status match). You will get 4 vouchers a day
  9. We’re thinking Chops, 150 Central Park, Jaimie’s (at lunch) & maybe hibachi. Our airfare was ridiculously expensive (more than we paid for first class in April & this is Southwest, not happy but…
  10. Our first meeting with our great grand dog. Sir Winston is a 10 wk old Bassett hound, he’s 26 lbs (but look at those paws). So cute. Melody
  11. We got to meet our great grand dog this weekend. Sir Winston is a 10 week old basset hound, he’s already 26 lbs. he’s so cute!! Melody
  12. Anita, it’s just going to be Les & I & our sis-in-law. A way to ‘get away from the crowd’
  13. Our grandson drove out for Father's Day weekend as a surprise for his Dad. He brought his basset puppy, so I’ll have puppy cuddles this weekend!! Melody
  14. We’re looking forward to being on Harmony with family. Neither of us like the big crowds, so that’ll be interesting. We’ve bought a 3 night dining package & plan on Chops (Les loves their ribeye) & Jamie’s Italian (No Giovanni’s on Harmony). Maybe the hibachi place. We have an ocean balcony on 7 (with a mega balcony). I couldn’t get a junior suite (but I’m sure we’ll be fine). The rest of our group is up on 11, so we’ll get our quiet time. Good itinerary. Aruba, Curacao & Labadee with 5 sea days. Love sea days!! Melody
  15. We’re high 90s again & very dry (10% humidity). OOTD Costco Bermuda shorts ($6.99) & Chicos tank top
  16. Anita, enjoying your Alaska reminiscing
  17. We bought our plane tickets for our cruise in December. OMG sticker shock!! Didn’t expect to pay almost as much for our Southwest flights as we did for the cruise!! And we have to drive to Denver to get a decent flight time. Did 2 one-way rental cars & that’s cheaper than parking in the airport garage!! Not really happy about it, but committed to the family cruise. we paid less for first class out of Colorado Springs to FLL in April (& that was spring break week) Melody
  18. I’d wear the summer colors & clothing but make sure I had a sweater. I’m originally from that area & you can have temps ranging from low 40s to 90s (in the same day) I’m talking Fahrenheit
  19. Anita Thanks for the info on Harmony. She’ll be porting out of Ft Lauderdale in December. Bummer, we could’ve met for coffee!! We know the Port Canaveral area well after living at Patrick AFB. You’re right, I’m much more of a glass half full person your Blue Ridge trip sounds wonderful!! If you’ve never gone to any Highland Games you’re in for a real treat. I love the caber toss. Can’t wait to see pictures. Melody
