  1. Nope. I always have an external tag with my name and phone number if it was to ever happen. Out of what, 2,000+ thousand people and pieces of luggage per cruise, you sometimes see maybe 10 pieces near guest services that are missing the luggage tags. I think that odds are pretty good. McDonald's always screws orders up daily, but people always seem to return back there.
  2. We are supposed to be in Princess cay on July 4th. Would it be out of place if we wore our red, white, and blue attire in port that day? We are just curious since we will be in a foreign port. Thanks
  3. It takes a lot to get noticed on tables for comps. You probably need to bet $25+ a hand for hours to get the the pit bosses attention since you have more advantage at slots than tables. My suggestion is go set your budget and gamble and have fun. Don't chase comps or points.
  4. Pre covid, offers seemed to come in two forms in my opinion. 1. Casino marketing offers. They see that you are a new player and you gave just enough money to get their attention, so they want to bribe you to hopefully get more of your money in the future. 2. I feel that each cruise probably has so many offers to give out. If you are the "top players" for that cruise, you may get great deals. These types of things change from cruise to cruise depending on the casino guest. Some cruises, my points were roughly the same. Sometime I got great offers and sometimes not so great offers. During covid and during the cruises returning, the players club was throwing me all kind of offers left and right about everyday for about a year and a half or so. Now, I feel it is back to supply and demand, cruises are filling themselves, offers don't mean as much, and they are trying to recoup some cash. Expect to see casino offers similar to pre-covid offers or worse than before covid. I gamble as a hobby. I set my budget, go in, and gamble and cruise. If I get deals, that is great. If not, I am going to cruise anyways. But that just means less money for the casino next cruise. If you want offers, then slots will be your best best as it has the better advantage for the house. If playing tables, you better be wagering enough and playing long enough for a host to notice who you are, or you will leave disappointed.
  5. Well this really sucks! this is one of the big things that differentiated us cruising VS Vegas. Does anyone know the minimum amounts on the Elation? We cruise July 1st. Hopefully they are still $6 then.
  6. Out of 3000 people, if it happens 10 times, it is less than 2%. I stop by a kiosk or my room TB and check my charges daily. Same thing that I do with my banking account and credit card. Things happen. Out of 9 cruises, I have never had it happen to me.
  7. It happens. Most of the roaming bartenders write the folio number down and don't swipe the actual card. They miss keyed or wrote it wrong. It happens sometimes and guest services always fixes the issue.
  8. Same. I used to play when they would roll out the bingo machine with the ball hopper. But not anymore with the electronic balls.
  9. You get 1 free bottle if you are red or up. You can use the bottle in the room. There is no charge for the first one on your account. It doesn't matter where you get it from. The ones at the bar will be cold.
  10. First thing, we are very sad seeing the fantasy class ships dwindled down to nothing. We love this class of ship. My question in formerly on the fantasy class ships, there was the walkway deck in front of the Putt Putt course. Is that still there in the Elation? That was my favorite part to go out at night and just stare our into the ocean. Is this deck still here since they have modified these two remaining ships adding more cabins?
  11. And if there is availability, more will pop up closer to the sailing (a month or so out). It depends on the number of diamond and platinum guests on a sailing to how many FTTF passes are actually sold.
  12. One, these people are paid to be nice and treat quest with respect. I would NEVER eat a homemade goodie from a stranger, but I am sure the staff feels like they have to because of their tip if they are offered something. Two, they don't have room to keep the stuff you give them. Give them cash, and they can purchase their own goods as needed.
  13. As mentioned, the taxes, port fees, and gratuities were probably refunded directly to you while on board or to your card. The $100 that is being refunded is probably that actual "cruise rate" for the friend that is left to be refunded. Insurance is NOT going to pay any amounts that were already refunded.
  14. And most casino's want your drunk while gambling.
  15. Nope. I have seen them cut each box open, take all the cans out and look, put them back and tape it back shut.
  16. We cruise in May and our final payment is due in March. We received an email about two weeks ago, and it was legit. They are just trying to get cash in their bank account.
  17. Yeah, they send emails saying payment is due, even though you have several months until its actually due.
  18. I have been there done that. I didn't realize it was wrong until we were at the terminal. They fixed it there for me. Unfortunately, that is the issue with booking with any kind of third party/travel agent. They have to be the point of contact.
  19. We typically chose late dinner in the Dining Room, but often browse the buffet before dinner to see what it there. I will say about half the menu will be on the Lido. As someone else mentioned, we have had YTD twice (not by choice) and found service to be slower.
  20. Sure, you can wait and board later with the friends. I doubt they are going to let the friends board with you though.
  21. Just charge it to your room. Cruise cash doesn't save you any thing. And if you don't use it all, you lose the remaining balance.
  22. 5-6 mixed drinks you break even ** Remove 1 of those drinks for a specialty, a few sodas and bottles of water. 8-9 beers ** On any other vacation, it you drink 5-6 drinks a day, then the cheers is for you. It will at least break even or come out ahead. If you or the person sharing your cabin drink less than that, then per drink will probably come out better.
  23. Depended on the cruise and space. Some cruises, they brought both out at the same time. Other cruises when it was a crowded table, they brought them out one at a time. I prefer both together, but get the spacing issue to so we weren't bothered either way.
