  1. I agree! This is by far my favorite ship size. I will certainly miss them too!
  2. I have been to Freeport 2 or 3 times, but I have never ventured further than the port area. I am cruising with some new first time cruisers in a few months, and we are going to Freeport. Can we take take a cab to "town" and walk around and visit any free beaches or anything? Is that possible in Freeport? Is there even a town to go to on our own? If it is, are there plenty of cabs to get us back to the ship? I doubt they will want a true excursion so I was just wondering if this was an option. Thanks!
  3. Breakfast is by far my favorite meal of the day. My favorite food is an omelet made my way. =I am glad that hear they are still made to order on the Lido... When we first started cruising in the mid 2000's, that was a distinct difference compared to land vacations... those things are slowly being taken away day by day. One of my favorite's was two times cabin service with the turn down service in the evening! But thing that might not bother some certainly hits others.
  4. Rumor has is that Carnival is doing away with cooked to order omelette! I hope this is just a rumor and nothing more. Has anyone confirmed this?
  5. This imessage thing is really hit and miss without wifi. More of a miss. I had it work only 2 cruises out of 10.
  6. On the Sunshine last year, we were on board having a Fun Ship drink of the day about 10:45am. We didn't have FTTF or any special perks. We were about the 30th on board.
  7. For those wondering, offers are starting to roll into 2025. But not for July yet for me. They stop at May of 2025. ugh.
  8. This is nothing to do with recycling. It has to do with the amount of the pour! Sadly, it will hurt he bartenders when it comes to tips and it will hurt my drink because of the exact pour!
  9. Great, this is what I was curious to hear! I know that we will get offers, but it is a matter of when. And we have several cabins booking and we are all trying to book together, etc, which is why we are booking so far out.
  10. We cruise and we gamble... we get how offers work. We have just never booked this far in advanced to need to worry about our offers that far in the future... I am not one of those that dropped $100 in the casino to just try to get an offer... And when offers do come out for 2025, I am 95% sure that we are better off losing the penalty and rebooking with our casino rates. It is just a matter of when it happens.
  11. We have NEVER booked a cruise this far in advanced, so we have never had this issue. But we are wanting to book a 2025 Alaskan cruise and start planning, but our casino offers only currently go through the end of 2024 bookings. Does anyone have a rough idea on when they will be available for 2025? Worse case, we figured we would just book and only pay the deposit, and try to move it to a casino deal later. But the main reason we would love to know more know if because we can get Suite's with the offers through 2024, and that would me amazing for Alaska!
  12. You can make sure you Date Roaming is turn OFF, and still receive calls and text. You are only charged for the ones that you answer, open, or reply to. If you have an iphone, you won't be able to receive voicemails as it runs through data to check them.
  13. I am gold. You still get free water. Go to any bar to retrieve it. You have to go to the Pixel gallery and request your pin. You still get your free drink on the last day. You just have to request it.
  14. I am not a big drinker. But 5.5 mixed drinks and you are at least even. You throw in a few bottles of water, soda's, and specialty coffees, and you are ahead for the day.
  15. Two weeks ago, Embarkation started at 10:45am. They have lifejackets for us by the pool to use on the ship for kids. I don't think they can go off the ship. Yes, you can bring a 12pack of 12oz canned drinks a person. I posted a short review back on about the 10th. You can search and ask me anymore questions if you have them.
  16. I agree. I use to make more on the $1 side bet than playing blackjack. $5 per hand and $1 on the side. Now it is a minimum of $10 on the hand and minimum of $5 on the side if being played.
  17. May favorite ones are any ones with an actual reels that spin. But there are becoming more and more few and far between. I also like the Quick Hits with the wheel.
  18. If it is slot play, points are based on theoretical "coin in". You put $50 in the machine, you keep hitting wins here and there replaying it, it gets your theoretical up to $80 per instance. It is them 1 point is $2.5 dollars in play. That were result in 32 in casino points. If you gamble to chase comps, you are going to lose everything in it. If you gamble as a hobby with you set limit, you have a good time and get casino deals... No one really knows how many points you need to get anything, but it happens. 1,500 points in the casino ($4,500 of coin in) gets you free drinks while playing.
  19. We linked all of our bookings together and all sat together at a big round table. Service and serving us was great. We had early dining, and were done every night by 7pm. We sat around to wait for "show time" after the first two nights since we were finished so early.
  20. We loved it too. I personally love the Fantasy class ships. They did a great job on the last dry dock for sure on her! We visited once. I really forgot about it until the last day. I am not sure what time they opened. The first sea day, I am pretty sure it was shortly after 7am when I went by and it was opened.
  21. Good Morning to All, We returned from the Carnival Elation this past Thursday. I wanted to leave a brief trip report if anyone cares to read it or if anyone has any questions. We arrived at Jacksonville about 10am for our 10am check in. We pulled to the terminal and dropped the luggage off, went to the other side to park the car, and headed to the terminal. There was a HUGE line next to the terminal, so I decided to keep walking past them as I didn't think they all were there for 10am check in. They were not. They were the early arrivals that had a separate line. If you arrive at your check in time, skip the line and walk around to the front. Check in and security was a breeze, and we were on the boat about 11am. Our stops were Nassau and Princess Cays. Nassau's new terminal area is now open. it is very nice. It has given the port a total 180 look! We just walked around the shops around downtown and in the terminal are for a few hours and headed back to the ship. This was my first visit to Princess Cays. I have been to Half Moon Cay several times before. After visiting Half Moon Cay, Princess Cay was a big let down. The beach was rocky and not as appealing to the eye as Half Moon. It was a okay beach get away, but I wasn't jumping for joy when we arrived there. We didn't do any excursions, but we finally got around to doing the Behind the Fun Tour. Our entire group really enjoyed this. We had a great time visiting many of the things that we often wondered about. We had a good tour guide and most of the people at each stop were great at answering our questions. We had 14 of us at early dining. I have been reading posts and reviews about the food quality decreasing. We were served the same decent food that Carnival has been serving since we started cruising. We may not have cared about some foods as much as others, but over all it was good. We had the Inspiration ding room for early seating. Shania, Seon, and Reuben were amazing! We were sad when we had to leave them. The entertainment stuff was pretty much the same as the past. I don't 100% like the playlist production shows as compared to the old type shows, but Epic Rock was good. We really enjoyed it. I visited the piano bar for the first time ever. I don't know what I have been missing out on this. Roger was great and kept us well entertained while we were there. We are certainly looking forward to visiting this again. We had an ocean view room on the main deck. Our room steward was a let down compared to past room stewards. But others in our party just below us had a great steward that knew our names, but our own steward didn't know our names. Our room stayed rather warm. We reported it, but it seemed to be within Carnival standards. I always pack and fan and I am glad that I had it. Our fridge/cooler thing did work at all, so our steward kept us stock with ice. We spent a good bit of time in the casino, which was really good to us this trip. For those wondering, the blackjack minimum is now $10 and the side bet is now $5 and $10. Bar service in the casino was good. We also visited Franklin at the casino bar from day 1, and he kept us hooked up with great drinks. If anyone has any questions, let me know. I tried to cover much of what I keep seeing people as about above to hopefully help.
  22. We just got off the Elation on Thursday. Imessages worked all cruise for us just on the the ships Wifi but we did not purchase any of the wifi packages. We couldn't send pictures, just text. This is a first in nine cruises.
  23. We just got off the Elation Thursday. Blackjack is now $10 and the minimum side bet is now $5 and a $10 option.
  24. You have to add it before you can complete your online check in two weeks prior to sailing.
