I don’t get the connection of the medallion and the app. The medallion opens your door, lets you charge products, gamble and get on and off the ship. The app lets you see menus, orders some beverages and food be delivered, see you folio etc. I don’t see how the they are connected. You could have the app and a cruise card and there would be no difference except for the locating of shipmates

Remember in the old days we had keys to our cabins that actually had the cabin number printed on it

On the Crown last month it actually differed bar to bar. Some gave you a can others used a gun.

I have seen the times differ between ships but generally either 12:00-1:30 or 11:30-1:00. The earlier time I have only seen on Alaska cruises

It is not really a Princess game. Most land based restaurants take reservations for specific times and then walking as tables are available I would bet you could go into most restaurants at popular times and find empty tables that are reserved for the near future and you would not be able to just take one. That is why some popular restaurants take a credit card number for a reservation so they can charge you a no show

You should check on a regular basis as many bartenders will put both drinks on one tab if a couple are ordering together because it is easier for them. We always ask them to put one on each account. In the past we have ended up late nights with one of us ready to max out and the other only half way through their 15

I have the same issue but the medallion I got showed elite so no issue. I always bring screenshots of my travel summary and number of cruises sailed but I have never needed it

You can exchange the medallion for a card to open your door. There are some options that the medallion has that you would not have, my favorite being finding my folk’s onboard

We have done Alaska on Princess multiple times, many different ships, different embarkation ports over 30 years and have never been disappointed
