In our experience Pier 27 is not much better. Long lines out of the building early. If we see a line we just go across the street for lunch and then board around 1:30 or so
Gastropub is a casual venue plus package holders get 2 meals per cruise additional ones cost $14,95. Specialty coffee is free for people with the plus package. Room service is free for plus but some items may have a surcharge. MDR there are a few entrees you can order for an up charge which is clearly marked on the menu basically they are items like specialty steaks etc
Today my wife’s medallion showed up but not mine I am showing green lane on the app and email confirmation of shipping received but no medallion. I guess we will be in separate lanes
The arancini come automatically usually before you even order. I usually have an app and pasta plus dessert and that is plenty for me. My favorite pastas are the carbonara or the lobster pockets
Our last cruise there in April the check in was downstairs at the CS level of the convention center. We arrived around 2:00 and no lines anywhere. We have seen it down there and up in the exhibit halls seems to depend on how many ships were embarking
My issue is with communication breakdowns. We ordered medallions and got e mail confirmation but no tracking info and the app now shows no medallion order but OR claims it should be delivered no later than today. Not holding my breath. If nothing show by Saturday I will be calling my CVP
We never try to board before 1:30 at any port. In SF we usually go over to Fog City for lunch. When we sail from Vancouver we do the 5 Sails high tea if it a weekend or Fairmont bar for lunch on a week day both are at Canada place
We tell friends who sail on the same cruise as we do that they will have to book at least a reserve class mini to have dinner with us. Breakfast and lunch people pretty much do what they want. Why pay for reserve if you aren’t going to use it ?
