  1. Since I began cruising with Regent (Paul Gauguin in 1998; we are Titanium now) I have commented on every cruise review that Destination Services needs to provide an evaluation form. I have gone so far as to make my own which I complete and drop off in the large box for unused Shore Excursion tickets. I doubt my evaluations make it to "headquarters". One Destination Services manager called me and thanked me for leaving the evaluations. The other managers most likely toss them in the trash. It is unfortunate Destination Services doesn't encourage passenger shore excursion reviews since they don't have (or won't provide) staff to do on-site evaluations.
  2. Hmm...I though Jamie and Dana were aboard as Cruise Director & Assistant Cruise Director. Did Captain Aivo Palm disembark after the Gala?
  3. Miso glazed sea bass is available any night by request, at least 24 hours in advance. The fish needs to marinate. Check with your butler, waiter or the Compass Rose Maître d'.
  4. Don't forget to sign up on the Roll Call. It is a great way to meet others prior to the cruise.
  5. Fond memories of all the storage that suites USED to have!
  6. I hope all your comments were submitted to UUNetBill for his Suite Guru spreadsheets.
  7. We were in Sendai in April 2019. The shuttle from the Port was to Mitsui Outlet Park. Time was 10-20 minutes each way. There disclaimer was that traffic conditions could impact the time. Nothing about no using in place of local transportation. We were docked at Takamatsu Pier 2. Apr 29 2019 Passages.pdf
  8. We had Sunday Brunch a couple of times on the 2023 Mariner World Cruise. We also had Sunday Brunch on the 2022 Navigator Grand Arctic cruise.
  9. I don't believe the magnifying mirror was lighted. The magnifying mirror on the Splendor was lighted.
  10. On the 2023 World Cruise, I found water in plastic bottles was often offered on shore excursions by the tour company.
  11. Attached is a review of Mariner Suite 752. A great room and would recommend. Mariner Suite 752.xls
  12. My experience with the Muster Drill is that it was excellent for meeting other passengers. 😀I hope Regent continues with in-person drills and with other events that create opportunities to meet other passengers.
  13. I believe you are looking at the Retail price. Refer to the Tour price for your cost.
  14. I suggest you call Regent and make the changes. You will need the booking number for your daughter and son-in-law. Personally, I've not had success adjusting a reservation online.
  15. We were on the Navigator for the 2022 Grand Arctic this summer. VERY disappointed Regent Destination Services did not require guides, especially for any walking tours, to use the Smart Guide. Some guides used the Whisperer system but I find the Whisperer box heavy and uncomfortable around my neck. Because I already carry my cellphone as my camera, I am happy when it does double duty. I was unhappy with passengers who didn't take the time to download the app (which can be done before you leave home; there is an excellent tutorial on the in-suite TV) but crowded around the guide and monopolized him/her. You can use the cellphone speaker if you don't have or can't use headphones. I did this once or twice but stayed to the rear of the group. I included these comments on the mid-cruise and final guest survey.
  16. I am not sure the Voyager will be able to dock since there is a lock to pass through. In August 2022, it looked like the Navigator was inches from the wall. Edinburgh might be a tender port for you. Not sure where tenders drop off and pick up. Possibly another CC poster could answer that question. Mentioning this because you might not be as close to the Royal yacht as we were. The shuttle was from Leith to Charlotte Square which was very close to the Royal Mile and we were able to walk to Edinburgh Castle.
  17. Paul Reynolds left in New York City and Ray Solaire was returning. Regarding crew and service - I can't find the article to provide a link but in addition to Covid and other issues discussed on CC there is a major issue of crew getting their visas. As much as they want to restart, they are at the mercy of their government to issue the visa that allows them to work/travel. As you know, many governments make this an arduous process, even for tourists. We were on the 94 day Arctic Grand Voyage and enjoyed every minute (except disembarkation!)
  18. Totally agree with mrlevin (Marc). We are also on day 94 of the 94 Arctic Grand Voyage and experienced above and beyond service, food and drink. All staff is exemplary. It was impossible to single out a few for the Cruise Review because all went above and beyond.
  19. The Navigator can dock in Leith but I believe the other Regent ships need to anchor and tender to Edinburgh.
  20. No masks for the crew as of today on the Navigator (August 25)! Love the smiles!
  21. Attached is my review of Navigator 864. We are in this room for the Arctic Grand Voyage. Navigator 864.xls
  22. Thank you - not lazy and exactly what I wanted to know.
  23. ChucktownSteve, would you post the name of the General Manager on board the Navigator? Also, if you have the name of the Food & Beverage Manager, would you post that also? Thank you.
