  1. Sorry, I don't know what a FCD is? Can you explain? Update: I see now...future cruise deposit. No I don't, but how would that affect the deposit requested?
  2. I'm mainly frustrated with their customer service reps. They're clueless. If they don't have an answer for you, they either hang up, put you on hold and disconnect, or out right lie to you.

  4. Hi everyone. I just had a terrible time booking a cruise directly online at the Princess website. They're currently advertising a promo for 2 days (Feb. 4-6) for a 10 night Mediterranean cruise for April 2025. Inside cabin is listed as $898 with $100 deposit. However when I booked the cruise, the system required an $800 deposit. I called their customer service for a correction and just got the run around. One agent stated the deposits are more for cruises 10 days and longer (no disclose about that on their site). Another agent said she could give me the $100 deposit promo, but only if the cruise price increased to $998 (again, no disclosure pertaining to that on their site). I ended up cancelling the booking out of frustration. What has happened to their customer service?

  6. NCL did this to us for an excursion at a port they dropped, but we were already onboard. Have you made your final payment yet? If not, I don't see why they wouldn't refund you for June 2024. btw, NCL did say if we didn't use the onboard credit, they would refund us, and they did. I think they just hope you'll overspend and use it.

  8. It's probably for the best. We needed to go through a travel agency to book with P&O and that was a hassle, because our agent would need the code the bank would text to me.
  9. I was allowed to based on my husband needing to serve in the military reserve during our original date. We just had to re-book at the same price or greater.
  10. I was on this same cruise and loved it.
  11. I thought they allow a one time date change request? I have an early saver reservation, and we were able to move it from June to May without losing our deposit, or paying any fee.
  12. How did you get them to cooperate on a price reduction? They wouldn't with me and my cruise is over a year from final payment, and is fully refundable. When I called to try to take advantage of a price drop, I was told it was for new bookings only, but in the past Princess always honored price drops/promos, because what's to prevent you from cancelling if they won't work with you?
  13. I went from mid-forward to mid-ship on the most recent sale (upgrade cabin within same category), but I did have to cancel and re-book, because I was told the new sale was for new bookings only.
  14. Oh, I hope you didn't misunderstand. Princess had our military info from their previous pre-Covid setup. I didn't mean to suggest that Sheer ID transferred our info from Holland America to Princess.
  15. I believe the current offer is $100 deposit per person, not per cabin.

  17. Same thing happened to us with Norwegian. They flipped our Greek itinerary and dropped a port.
  18. We had to use Sheer ID when we cruised on Holland America and had no problem. We just booked with Princess after not having cruised with them since pre-Covid, and the military discount was there right away.
  19. I got no where with chat. Every time the number of people in front of me dwindled to 1, I got thrown back behind others. No agent ever chatted with me, so I called. I wanted to take advantage of the latest sale and upgrade offer, but the agent said it was for new bookings only. I've never had Princess deny me before as long as I was prior to final pay date, and as long as my deposit was refundable. I cancelled and re-booked.
  20. That's very fair of them. I hope they offer us the same. We'd cancel.

  22. Was that the Vision's original itinerary? That is a huge change, and yes, I wouldn't be happy either. I hope they're given the option to cancel. We're scheduled for Canada/Greenland on the Jewel, and if they send us south, we're not interested.
  23. Wow. Wonder now if they'll keep us in Cape Liberty for a night or two before heading north.
