Today booking for dining opened up for our upcoming cruise. Although, the My P&O site was slow, I did book my choices and they're in my cart. However, I can not get to the page to process my payment. Does anyone know if the site is down right now?

Are you saying Cunard offers military OBC for U.S. veterans, or to British veterans?

Just curious....as only active military have an I.D., how do veterans prove their status to airlines?

Both my husband and I are veterans, so we each qualify. Which is great, because it doubles are onboard credit.

I don't believe the Caribbean is a sister ship to the Ruby. I think Emerald and Crown are her sister ships.

Not only are the fares different, but so are the deposit amounts. Princess is currently advertising a cruise in 2025 in the Mediterranean with $100 deposit, yet a mock booking requests an $800 deposit for 2. When I called to inquire why this was so, I was told multiple times that the $100 deposit is only if you don't get the cabin location upgrade (even tough there's no such disclaimer stating that online). I tried another mock booking where I chose to have Princess choose my cabin location, and it still requested an $800 deposit, so there goes that answer out the window.

True, however NCL wrote the book on anytime dining. While I liked the Jade and her crew, I can't say the same about NCL itself. They reversed the order of our itinerary, and didn't tell us until we were checked in and onboard. They also dropped a port, and changed the hours we were in each port. I much more prefer Princess.

I wish the cruise lines would give more control to their passengers by allowing us to make cancellations online rather than having to call a call center. Having said that, the Zaandam is a nice ship, though smaller than the Grand. I sailed her last year from Montreal to Boston and loved her. My only complaint is that the food portions were tiny and the afternoon tea was a joke.

I hope they remove Harmony as well. The menu looks like any so so Americanized Chinese menu. Ho hum.

Sailed on the Ruby to Alaska in 2017. It was our favorite cruise. She's a great ship!

I traveled on the Jade around the Greek Islands in 2022. She's a nice ship, but I'm partial to Princess.

I live in New England, and its hard to say when foliage will be good in any year. It depends on how much rain falls in the summer, and whether there are any chilly nights late in summer. I usually see some color here in NH by late August, but nothing large scale.

Barclays offers digital gift cards for Holland America from my Princess card (both owned by Carnival). I was able to add them on the HA website, and convert them to OBC.

Exactly, it was. I finally got this resolved. I had been in online communication with Barclay support and they repeated to me several times that this issue could only be resolved by Princess....without the need of written approval by Barclay. I copied the transcript of those messages and emailed them to my Princess cruise agent, and finally he relented and transferred the redemption of onboard credit. Which I suspect he could've done all along. Now I'm worried that if another sale comes along, like free gratuities for "new bookings only", that to take advantage of it, I'll have to go through this all over again. Thanks for your suggestions. Live and learn. I won't redeem any more points now until around the time of final payment.

Last December I booked a cruise with Princess for 2025. Then in January I redeemed 20,000 points with my Princess Barclays Credit Card for $200 of OBC. The OBC was forwarded to Princess, and applied to my existing booking. However, this week the cruise I booked dropped in price for "new bookings only". When I called Princess to request the lower price be applied to my booking, they refused. The only alternative I had was to cancel my booking, and book again. The Barclay website states that a Princess representative can transfer my redeemed OBC from one booking to another, yet my agent at Princess says he can't transfer my $200 of OBC to my new booking without written consent from Barclay via an email. I'm in communication with Barclay, and they insist just as strongly that the Princess agent can do this without a letter from them. Meanwhile, I'm stuck in the middle, and my $200 of OBC is sitting in a booking that needs to be canceled, so I can have my deposit refunded. If I want to take advantage of another sale, I don't want to go through this again. Does anyone else here have a Princess Barclays Credit Card that can shed light on this process? Thank you.

I took your advice and contacted a PVP. He verified that the deposit on this cruise is $800 for 2, and that if I wanted the $100 pp deposit, the price would increase $98 pp. He said the explanation and promo code are listed on Princess (somewhere 😏). I still say it's false advertising. A disclosure during booking could have saved me a lot of confusion. There's no excuse for a customer to have to scroll through every page on the website to find some obscure hidden disclosure, or spend a day calling the 800 number for help. It should be listed in plain site. He was so nice though, that I couldn't argue the point. It still doesn't sit well with me.

It would be nice if served in a jar, or something similar, with a knife for spreading on the toast.

This would only apply to me during Sea Days, as I love to try the local food at visiting ports.

On top of this, NO ONE answers on chat on the website. I wait for half an hour to be next in line and then NO agent ever shows up to assist. Frustrating!
