  1. It's less developed and the very walkable main town has lots of quaint shops and eateries.
  2. I haven't been able to find info on a stand alone coffee card on the HAL website.
  3. I'd also add college graduation time and arriving for a new college semester time for busy as well. We always use points for hotel stays.
  4. Interesting. I just redeemed points on my Barclay Princess card towards a digital gift card for HAL. How would I go about getting this on my onboard credit account with HAL?
  5. You're completely misunderstanding, but that's alright. I don't want to add in taking this further off topic.
  6. Yes, I do, but not everyone does. For those who don't it's not a freebie on their side.
  7. I have 29,000 points on a Princess credit card. Since HAL and Princess are both owned by Carnival, I was hoping to redeem the points to OBC to use on HAL, but I can't find a way to do this. I can redeem for a Carnival gift card, or store gift card, but there's no HAL option, or even just a plain Visa option.
  8. Did you choose the correct status to match the DD214? My husband is both an active duty veteran, and currently serving in the Guard. I made the mistake of choosing active Guard, but uploaded his DD214 discharge form. That got rejected obviously. I had to email with a SheerID customer service rep to get it corrected.
  9. Our cruise last month on the Jade was 100% full.
  10. It was $29 on the Jade last month. However the offer was only once....day 2 or 3, I believe. Hardly enough time to accumulate much laundry. Now day 4 or 5...that would be better.
  11. I booked a sail away guaranteed inside cabin. When my cabin was assigned, they told me they upgraded the inside cabin type. LOL, my UPGRADE was above the Bliss Lounge. Never again, Norwegian.
  12. Unlimited Starbucks sounds more like a punishment to me. On the Jade, they only served drinks in paper cups, and they don't have pots to offer.
  13. I completely understand your frustration. I was on the Norwegian Jade in Greece the same week as your cruise. They also changed our itinerary, but we weren't even told at check in inside the terminal where we had free WIFI. They told us onboard. They flipped the itinerary around, dropped one port and shortened the hours while in the other ports. We had a dinner reservation in Santorini at sunset. We were originally scheduled to be there till 9:00 pm, but they shortened it to 3:30 pm, and we had no internet to inform the restaurant of the change.
  14. We had this happen to us when NCL cancelled a port that we booked an excursion for. We weren't even informed of the port cancellation until we were onboard. I was surprised to learn they put the funds towards our OBC instead of refunding our credit card. When I requested they put it towards our credit card, I was initially informed it was non-refundable. Then they back tracked and said it was refundable AT THE END OF THE CRUISE. It appears they hope you'll just spend it onboard. Oh there was no way I would after that conversation. I got it back in cash on the last night.
  15. I usually get onboard credit through a credit card rewards program. With Princess, any unused funds were always mailed to me in a check about a month after the cruise. This seems only fair since it's accumulated through credit card purchases that can have interest with the payment. However, I experienced my first Norwegian cruise last month, and they were clear that it was non-refundable. This, plus more makes me to never choose NCL again.
  16. You're right. Sorry, I was thinking of the Kingston line commuter rail.
  17. I always find a good way to see what a port offers is just to go to Google maps and zoom in. Use the little blue man feature to "walk/ride" the streets.
  18. There's a train to Cape Cod from South Station in Boston
  19. I'm searching for the best croissant in Quebec City.
