  1. Yes, Tony was cruising with a friend. IMHO, his recent vlog with his friend, I think yesterday, was not as good as his usual entries. I prefer him alone or with Jenny. I love peaches. I can eat a bagful. Funny thing is I can't stand peach pie or anything with peaches in it. I just like it au naturale and unadorned.
  2. Miami Vice on the left? I don't drink much but I drink that! He sounds like a stand up guy. You mentioned possibly meeting his wife Jenny on board but I don't think she joined him this time. Your food porn pictures are so yummy that I would even eat dishes I don't care for, based on your pictures.
  3. Actually, lots of the Bella group cruising on 3/12 post on Dani's thread. Dani really started something amazing when she cleaned her fridge in 2020.. Icon starts cruising in 2024. Anything is possible. Continue to enjoy your cruise.
  4. Jack and I watched Matt's RC vlog introducing Icon. It seriously gave us a headache and we couldn't keep up with all the stuff they're cramming into that ship. When we cruised with our daughter when she was younger, she was super happy with the onboard kids activities. She never once was bored. I'm sure it will be successful without us.
  5. Something happened last night that reinforced my thinking that there is an energy surrounding us that shows itself when we least expect it. I think @A&L_OntAndrew knows what I mean. I recently posted that Jack and I stayed at a friends summer home in the Atlantic City area before gambling came to town. These friends were more than friends. The husband, Mike, and Jack were business partners for 20+ years. Mike, unfortunately, passed away approx.. 10 years ago and communication with his sons all but stopped. Why do I mention all of this? Last night, Jack got a text from one of Mike’s sons, asking how we were and said he was thinking of us and how close our two families were, and the rich history that we all share. So after 10 years, David, the son, chose a time when I had been thinking of his family, to reach out to us. I firmly believe that a coincidence is a small miracle where G-d chose to remain silent.
  6. And I bet the glasses then were larger. Glad to read you're back to work and feeling better. Jack and I were both still fatigued way after we tested negative after our covid bouts so try and take it easy.
  7. Yes, Starbuck's has food. Salads, pastries, sandwiches. @Ozark_KidI am just loving your review and your pictures are so vivid and beautiful.
  8. Great Wall in Frisco on Preston across from Stonebriar Mall. Was much better at our last visit pre-covid. We found a great hole in the wall Chinese takeout in Carrollton in the Tom Thumb shopping center on Hebron and Josey. Wonton soup so flavorful, doesn't taste like over salted hot water. Don't you love our current weather? Mid 60s bright sunshine, next few days mid 70s and 80s.
  9. It has to be incredible if it beat out that amazing chocolate croissant at Sunflower Bakery in Galveston.
  10. Greg and Linda, gorgeous pictures of you two lovebirds, both then and now. Looks like a perfect Anniversary dinner but I agree the venue could have been a bit more quiet and intimate. Food looks amazing.
  11. Although I've been in TX for 19 years, I'm still not a huge Country fan. On our first cruise out of Galveston the vibe was definitely Country. At the talent show, every other person sang Patsy Cline's, Crazy. Many had on boots, some cowboy/cowgirl hats, lots of jeans with big buckle belts. Friendliest, fun loving people I ever met on a cruise. AND, Greg, Linda, have a super Happy Anniversary. Your Cozumel excursion will be one you both and Elaine will never forget.
  12. I came in here to whine and complain about the awful Chinese food lunch we have and here is yours looking a lot better than ours. I don't care for buffet at all but Jack loves it so we went to his favorite buffet. No shrimp hot dishes at all, just cold with cocktail sauce. Wantons in the soup were so overcooked they had the consistency of sponges. No chewing necessary. They sort of melted once in my mouth. Spare ribs looked meaty and delicious but they were dry as toast. I won't go on and on because you get the picture. It was the 1st time we were there since the world broke in 2020 and apparently it will be the last. Mid 60s today, sunny and totally delightful. Thursday we're back to mid 80s. My laptop mouse is less than a year old and I keep losing the pointer. Luckily this laptop has a touch screen. Enjoying all the Live and Near Live reports. Carry on. I keep losing my mouse pointer. Very frustrating but thankfully, I have a touch sch
  13. Lots of us know John's last name but I wouldn't post it on purpose in here. I doubt he really cares but just MHO.
  14. I misunderstood about the cold in the nightclub. I thought the cold was blowing from under the seat hitting your legs. So nice to know she's as nice in person as she is on you tube. I bet the same can be said for Tony.
  15. I came of age listening to Johnny Mathis songs. When I hear "Chances Are" I am transported back to my early teens, dancing with BOYS! I never cared for Bennett until years later. His songs with Lady GaGa are exceptional. There will always be only one Sinatra. Awhile back someone complained in here when we had song/music chat so we better move on 😏
  16. On practically all of our cruises, we couldn't find empty seats in the Schooner Bar at night especially during trivia. Are you taking pain meds for your shoulder? I hope it isn't giving you too much pain.
  17. I just read that Tony of La Lido Loca cruise vlog is with you on Allure. He also liked "Oh What a Night. I enjoy his comments. He can be found on you tube, tells it like it is and cruises on all different cruise lines. When you say the lower level in the nightclub is cold, do you mean the entire first floor? I wonder if Oasis is like that. I always take a sweater but that wouldn't help much would it, unless I wrap in around my legs 😏
  18. Beautiful color. We saw spectacular Fall foliage color once near Woodstock, Vermont during a weekend getaway. I saw colors that I never saw on leaves before. OB will appreciate this. Our favorite place to visit when we lived in New York was the New England area.
  19. Greg, I hope you can sleep comfortably. Greg, you and Linda are incredibly kind to put Elaine at ease so that she doesn't feel so lonely. You both are very special.
  20. Before gambling came to Atlantic City, we spent a lovely weekend at the vacation home of friends in Brigantine. Last house on the block, yards from the beach. I remember signs along the Parkway advertising gambling to come. Nobody believed it would happen. Once the hotels were built, they never cleaned up the surrounding area as promised. Last visit was 2004. Hope you "break the bank"!
  21. I'm glad I did and would do it again. Hope your daughter feels better. You did more than me. Here I sit on my recliner delving through all my favoite CC threads.
  22. She KNOWS! Wishing you and Laura smooth sails and happy times. Bermuda is my favorite port.
  23. I had lunch with a friend last week. A friend I have not been in touch with for 2 years. I offered an olive branch taking the high road and she graciously accepted (although it was her fault lol). Anyway, when I asked how she was and if she ever got covid she said no but last month she had a cough, and runny nose. I asked if she tested negative and she told me she assumed it was allergies she SOMETIMES gets and never tested for covid. She said she had those symptoms for about 5 days. I told her I exhibited those exact symptoms when I tested positive. She lives alone and I wonder how many people she infected with covid if that's what she had. She lives in an apt. bldg and is a social butterfly.
  24. Praying your daughter has many more good days than bad. I hope Susan's sister recovers quickly. That's quite a high fever.
