  1. Cleanest restrooms and the best bbq sandwiches. Walking along The Strand and Seawall is a treat I hope you won't miss. What hotel are you staying in? Hope you're pleasantly surprised at the food on Liberty. Enjoy every moment!
  2. Yom Huledet Sameach to your grandson. What a sweet and proud smile! I was just about to post that but saw you beat me to it. Hope @LuckynanaMaryann will post soon and let us know what a good time they had.
  3. Robyn, hi! Do you think he does that for everyone? 🙂 Have a great upcoming b2b cruise.
  4. If dynamics worked for us, we would hop on a plane to cruise for 4 nights in a NY (TX) minute! You and Lisa HAD to take this cruise to experience another Over the Rainbow moment.
  5. My ex-Brooklyn BIL became an instant Mets fan when his beloved Dodgers abandoned Brooklyn for California. His son followed and named his dog Shea to honor Shea Stadium.
  6. I vaguely remember that show. I loved the show where his office was in a garage? Maybe Vegas? Unfortunately, he died all too young.
  7. @h20skibumMark, so sorry to hear you said your final goodbye to Lucy. May she RIP and may you be comforted in the joy she brought to your family.
  8. The original Love Boat Show was instrumental in opening up cruise industry popularity. It was an iconic show, and we welcomed the cast into our homes and looked forward to seeing them every week. I don't watch much TV now but watching a re-do of one of my favorite shows would not be on my agenda. Capt. Stubing - stern with a heart of gold Julie - perky Doc = womanizer from the get go Isaac - fun guy, best smile Gopher - cute as a button And, nobody can sing the opening Love Boat song like Jack Jones. Nobody,
  9. Whenever I hear Over the Rainbow, I will be thinking of your precious Allie. Here's to many loving rainbows.
  10. Happy Anniversary! Wishing you many more wonderful celebrations. @dani negreanuDani, your friends pictures are lovely. How special to maintain relationships for so many years and YES, Israelis are open and friendly. Jack is still in touch with his school and army friends. They share a history and a bond that is amazing.
  11. Greg, spectacular review! I too thought you are now getting off the ship. Will you do a review of your upcoming Liberty cruise? As far as the cabanas, isn't there a limit to how many can rent one?
  12. Seems like Texas or at least the Dallas area is still having the best weather. Still low to mid 80s, bright sunshine. Sure beats what I've been reading in here but at least @LuckynanaMaryann is on a cruise! Hope the weather gets better for everyone and that Maryann is having a fabulous cruise in spite of the wet weather. Maryann, your mention of lobster roll reminds me of Island Lady, Pat and her Maine vacations. Oh those lobster and lobster rolls! Sure hope she and bucky are well and busy cruising.. I miss her posts.
  13. Following for sure. Have a fabulous cruise. I see pictures of Owen periodically on Dani's thread and still can't believe how he's grown. Handsome and tall! And, I finally got to see pictures of Lucy with her eyes open. She sure loves her naps.
  14. Debbie, I am so sorry your MIL is so difficult. Must be very hard on Eric to see his mother so uncaring. She won't change and thankfully the children have loving parents. No worries about venting. It's allowed in here, honest!
  15. @George C George you have my condolences on the loss of your beloved mother. It sounds like she led a life well lived. What a blessing.
  16. I very rarely post weather updates but we are having the very best weather possible in the Dallas area. Last week and the coming week; sunny temps in the mid to low 80s. Love it! We made it into the new H-E-B store. Crowded but manageable. I don't know what the hype is. People were on line the night before it opened and waited 12 hours to get in. I don't get it. It's a supermarket. Maybe someone can enlighten me? Smooth sails to those about to embark on cruises. @molly361Ellen, glad your power is back on. In NY, during a power outage, my neighbors decided to have an ice cream party. We brought our ice cream to a neighbor's porch and had the best time catching up. It was almost a let down when power came back on!
  17. Lenny, I'm confused. I don't think HBE4 was posting about your personal achievements but then I have gotten confused in here on more than one occasion.
  18. The Saga of the ice cube. A few days ago, I noticed one ice cube on my kitchen floor near the fridge. Weird since the freezer has no ice maker. I opened the freezer, moved everything around and nope, no other ice cubes. Freezer is on the bottom, so I bent down and saw no switch or "arm" to turn an ice maker feature on/off. I called Jack and he couldn't figure it out as well. I called our daughter to ask if she bought and used a bag of ice when she was here. Nope. BTW, we moved into this apt., 3 months ago. Jack met the Maintenance guy in the hallway and asked him to stop by our apt. Who knew our freezer had an icemaker? He bent down and showed us where the on/off switch was, very UNnoticable if you're looking for it. It was in the "on" position. Maybe when I cleaned the freezer I inadvertently hit the "on" switch. We left the "on" switch on and the bin quickly filled with ice cubes. That was my bin for frozen veggie bags. BUT, the mystery is still.....why was there only one ice cube on the floor and none in the freezer? Goes to show how exciting my days are.
