  1. I hate that you do not know before you cruise if Diamond + are going to be permitted in the lounge or not. It almost makes me wish they would either make a decision to either always allow access or never allow access.
  2. We have ordered ours ‘to go’ and they served them in paper cups.
  3. As @Tulsacokersaid, on Celebrity the "Elite Happy Hour" consist of free drinks, from the Captains Club Happy Hour drink list. Here is the list.
  4. I have done the check in for my wife and I for years, either on the Web site or via the App since it has become available.
  5. We have cruised many times in February since that is the month my birthday falls in. We are scheduled on Harmony of the Seas in February 2023.
  6. Might be a little difficult. Unless I missed something, I do not believe there is a Johnny Rocket's on Ovation, I know there is not one on Quantum as I've sailed on Quantum last month.
  7. I have never heard of a Boston Ice Tea. From Difford's Guide: Boston Tea Party: (served in Collins Glass) 1/2 oz Ketel One Vodka 1/2 oz Dewars 12 year old scotch 1/2 oz Tripple Sec 1/2 oz Navy rum 1/2 oz Rutte Dry Gin 1/2 oz Patron Reposado 1/2 oz Noilly Prat Extra Dry 1/2 oz freshly squeezed orange juice 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice 1/2 oz Sugar syrup top off with Coke (or Pepsi) Add orange slice to garnish. Obviously you can substitute brands as necessary.
  8. Long Island Ice Tea Boston Tea Party Lemon Drop Martini Cosmopolitan John Colins Tanqueray and (soda, tonic, cranberry, etc..) Slow Comfortable Southern Screw (screwdriver with a shot of Southern Comfort) Bacardi 8 or Pyrit on the rocks (single large ice cube is better) As for Micheline - Does she like Pinot Grigio? My wife normally drinks that on cruises.
  9. Watching now. Every point counts toward our Elite Plus .. only 119 more after these tree 🙂
  10. Weather will be warmer in July. Also the animals should be more active and the salmon run in full swing. All things being equal, I would choose July over May for Alaska.
  11. LoL -- Yeah - we had the advantage of being there two whole weeks.
  12. I always ask for ice with my fresh squeezed OJ.
  13. Anything over and above the number of vouchers your have buy individually. For beer and soda, buy those instead of using vouchers. Use vouches for the more expensive drinks. Do the math, if you will drink five drinks or more per day above your limit of four, e.g. nine drinks or more per day on average, then the deluxe beverage package may be the way to go.
  14. As Diamond + we each get five vouchers a day -- there was only one day that we came close, used 9 of the 10, to using them all. The rest of the time it was normally two glasses of wine for me with dinner, one glass for my wife, two drinks for me at the Schooner bar and one for my wife. The one day we came close I had two glasses of wine and she had one with lunch. Of course I often supplemented my drink vouchers with pre-dinner drinks and if we finished dinner in time, at least one after dinner drink in the Suite Lounge.
  15. I recall post previously where individuals stated they were unable to access Cruise Critic with the basic internet. I've never had basic, always premium, so I cannot say from personal experience. I believe I have also read that web browsing is very slow on basic but maybe someone with direct experience can comment.
  16. In no particular order: Zacapa Old Fashioned Long Island Ice Tea Rum Old Fashioned Old Fashioned Ketel One and diet tonic Tanqueray 10 and diet tonic French 75 Lemon Drop Martini
  17. Was it by any chance Thomas who also works at the bar in the Ocean View Cafe on Silhouette? That's where I got this hand made sangria.
  18. I like getting the premium beverage package being included with my suite on Celebrity. This frees me from having to go to the Retreat lounge whenever i would like an adult beverage. Our favorite place for relaxation on Solstice class is the Ensemble Lounge, right outside the Retreat lounge and while it is easy to get up and go into the lounge for a drink, it's easier just to order one at the bar in the Ensemble Lounge. I am also very fond of Bailey's and coffee at Cafe al Bacio.
  19. American Dollars are accepted everywhere.
  20. We were able to watch the safety video on-line the morning of our cruise. When we boarded Quantum in August everyone was being directed to their muster stations as they came aboard. Was asked if we had watched the video at the muster station, they gave us a short speach about in the event of an emergency that we were to come right there and described the emergency signal (7 short followed by one long). Less than 2 minutes from walking up to the muster station to walking away. There were two couples in front of us. You can find deck plans with muster station locations for most of the ships online. Google is your friend.
  21. Interesting -- on Quantum for the first leg of the B2Bwe did not have to give it but once after breakfast on Day 3. Never had to give it on the second leg as we were in the same room. Then again, we ate all our meals there except for twice on both cruises.
  22. We only managed to get phone calls to work by having WiFi calling enabled on our iPhones.
