  1. You sound to have some lovely trips book for your wife’s 60th birthday. It is my 60th too next year in August and my mum in 90 in July so we have booked a Warner’s holiday with her as she doesn’t want to cruise or fly Michelle
  2. So sorry to hear this news Josy, life can be so unfair at times Michelle
  3. Sorry to hear things might not work out for you but….. if this is any help I still have my booking in the cabin next to yours(not cancelled the booking yet as MIGHT move it when new bookings open next month) with a TUI flight at 11.05 out of Manchester on 16/3. You would just need to check if there were any PE seats left in this flight first. I can discuss further if you are interested and give my your email. I don’t know how to contact anyone privately on CC My hubby was looking forward to the pole dancing lessons!! Michelle
  4. I re-booked because the balcony cabin prices were cheaper than when I originally booked by quite a lot. I was hoping for a TUI flight, she told me it would be a TUI flight during the booking which I was pleased about. Michelle
  5. We are on the same cruise as you and were in the next cabin to you but flying out on 16 March from Manchester. This week I have re-booked the cruise losing a small deposit and re-booked for only £180 more into a balcony cabin with the same onboard credit. It is showing TUI flights (TUI162) at 11.35. Maybe this would be an option if it’s still available? Hope you can get something sorted Michelle
  6. That is such good new for you Josy, I hope I get the same results as you in December Michelle
  7. We have a Booths about 5 min walk away, do shop there for some things but definitely not everything, they are too expensive. They do lovely Christmas food Michelle
  8. Sorry to hear you are not so good at the moment Kalos, hope you feel better soon. We all are missing your posts Michelle
  9. Sorry to hear you have the dreaded you know what. Hope you are not too ill and recover quickly. We got off Anthem two weeks ago and I had a cold/cough for about five days. I tested negative a few times so I assume it was just a cold thank goodness. I have got my flu jab on Thursday and the other one next week. Take care Michelle
  10. Sorry to hear this Josy, it must be awful for her having to cope with a virus on top of her chemo. Fingers crossed she feels a bit better over the coming days Michelle
  11. Have a lovely cruise, hope the weather is kind to you Michelle
  12. Have a nice week off work, hope your parents are ok Michelle
  13. Morning everyone, it’s a nice morning here, sunshine is coming through. Hubby is out weeding the garden already. Don’t think we are doing anything today except the usual household type jobs that need doing. Have a good weekend everyone Michelle
  14. It’s my mums favourite place for afternoon tea, it is a lovely hotel and the service is brilliant Michelle
  15. Just been out for afternoon tea at the Clifton Arms Hotel in Lytham with my mum. The hotel overlooks Lytham Green which is nice. It was delicious, apple and celery soup with cheese straws, home made sausage rolls, selection of sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam and a selection of cakes. I am stuffed!! We couldn’t manage to eat it all. So much for cutting down on the food after my hols!!! Michelle
  16. There is no visually distinct border between Lytham and Lytham St Annes. We live directly back from Fairhaven Lake and about 50metres from Royal Lytham St Annes golf course. It is more expensive to live in Lytham but we like where we are in between to two, we can walk to both in about 15/20 mins. It sounds like you had a lovely time when you visited recently Michelle
  17. He is doing well thank you. His mum got him some food supplements prescribed from the Drs, like a Complan type of drink I believe. The swelling has gone down and he isn’t taking painkillers which is good. He is going back to school today. Michelle
  18. Morning everyone, it’s a lovely sunny day here after a cloudy and miserable day yesterday. I feel brighter already looking outside at the sun. I have nothing planned really today, I need to get back to the gym so I might try make the effort there. I will take the dog out too at lunchtime much to her disgust, she is a true couch potato. She has been loving it this summer moving between the sofa and the sun lounger then into the shade to cool down. Have a nice day everyone Michelle
  19. Hi Interestedcruisefan, Just been reading about all your travels, sounds like you have lots to look forward to. We moved to Lytham St Anne’s about five years ago and I agree it’s a lovely place to live with something going on all the time. I don’t know if you managed to go to the theatre at Lowther Pavilion when you were here but it’s a nice place to spend an evening. Lots of nice restaurants and bars as I am sure you discovered. Michelle
  20. Morning everyone, hope you are all ok today. It looks cloudy outside here but the sun is forecast, still warm though. Some gardening to do this morning then will have a wander out this afternoon if it’s not too warm. It’s St Annes Kite Festival this weekend which is always great to see, the kites are amazing. It will be nice to sit on the beach watching them all. Take care everyone Michelle
