  1. Last night something got in my fenced in garden....my gate into the garden has like 5 or 6 inch opening at the bottom. Not sure what could have did this to the corn stalk....almost like a clean cut....then started to eat the corn ears which are just starting to grow. Anyone have an idea what could have done this? Lost 2 stalks so far. I secured the opening better now, first I have ever seen anything like this.
  2. It's on wheels,I have to bring it in at night, otherwise the deer work on it and roll it down the driveway by morning. Saw my first bear since we have been here up the street while I was riding my golf cart.....so far he has not been down by our house yet. 🐻
  3. Guess I need to put on my glasses when I'm going on to garden to pick zucchini. 🤣 I'm missing some and they are getting quite large. I'm guessing the deer will like them no matter what size they are.
  4. Salmon not running, Bears are harder to find/see.
  5. We did late May, early June. No salmon running at that time, So if you want to see Salmon running you have to go later then we did. Weather wasn't an issue for us, shorts and short sleeves.........Hoodie needed if breezy other then that it was fine.
  6. Here is another one that is very nice if you are looking for places to stay for a cruise leaving out of Port Everglades. It's about 3 miles from the port. Margaritaville is about 9 miles from the port. 7. Vision was a one and done for us. It just doesn't have the bling their other cruise ships have The one cruise we took on her was the Mexican Rivera...........On our sailing the ship had one broken engine, had to sail the whole cruise at a reduced speed therefore because of that we missed ports and our flight home . It's are only cruise we have ever been on that we want to forget. To many other ships and itineraries to ever cruise on that ship again. Wouldn't surprise me if it is one of the ships they put out of service soon with all the new ship builds on order.
  8. Curious how much it is on your sailing?, It's $85 per person on a sailing this September for us. We are passing on it at that price.
  9. Since everyone is showing frog pictures. Here is some from our windows in the kitchen out to the deck. I think they are called "Tree Frogs". They have web feet and stick on the window like Spiderman Was fun watching the cats trying to play with them through the other side of the glass. 20220530_210230_01.mp4 20220530_210230_99.mp4
  10. We are getting off a cruise ship in either Amsterdam(If our ship is still ending there) or Rotterdam if the ending port is switched to Rotterdam) Picking up another cruise ship in Barcelona 2 days later. So what time would be the safest time to book to make sure we can make a direct flight from Amsterdam to Barcelona same day the first cruise gets over.? So far have only seen connecting flights from Rotterdam to Barcelona and we don't want that plus the prices from there are much Higher then flying from Amsterdam.
  11. repositioning cruise.............starts in one city and ends in another city or country.
  12. I think we would just like to get to Amsterdam the quickest way and Skip the 3 hour + train ride.
  13. It's when you put that 3rd person in the room, they almost double the price of the room. This was the lowest priced room for 3 people they listed........May 28th through May 30th. Queen Junior Suite with Executive Benefits
  14. One thing you shouldn't miss that the amped of ships have is that silly slide at the back of the ship the ruins the view from the Boardwalk Balconies on the aft.
  15. Here is a full rainbow picture behind our house I took last night and the makings of a double rainbow before it fizzled out.
  16. You got a good price, for our dates May 28th through May 30th , 2 nights It comes out to $885 a night with 3 persons in the room. Hopefully looking to pay that for 2 nights , not just one.
  17. Are you going to Amsterdam a day early? curious what hotel you are staying in and how much? We will be there in May 2024 for 2 nights before Jewel cruise.
  18. Yes , I noticed everything is high there. I did a mock booking for December, it was around $850 USD, October dates were just over a $1000 USD Your $600 CAD is around $450 USD per night, for your May dates. Where ever we book, trying to keep it around $400-$450 a night.
