  1. TSA Precheck is a program available in the US. It has no relevance for a departure from Canada. That said, several airports in Canada have Preclearance offered by US Customs and Border Patrol, including Vancouver. Once cleared, your arrival in the US will be treated similar to a "domestic" flight. Hope this helps ... safe travels.
  2. Another vote for Larry's Limos. We have used them MANY times for transportation needs throughout South Florida. Give them a call: https://www.larryslimo.com/index.html
  3. We just spent two nights in the area post cruise (stayed at the Westin Times Square) and the bellman recommended Becco. We really enjoyed it - very reasonable pricing and all wines on the menu were $35. We'd go back and agree with the recommendation. (They do take reservations on OpenTable.)
  4. We are using a private transport service on Sunday from the Westin Jersey City to Cape Liberty cruise port. Once we complete our trip, I'll report back and let you know if the experience was + along with the company name.
  5. In a perfect world, the points should be automatically credited. Personally, I suggest contacting Delta to ensure you get said points back. Nothing is easy these days, especially when it comes to travel.
  6. Do you have a contact for your driver or car service you would be willing to share? We will need transporatation from Bayonne to Manhattan (Westin Times Sq.) for a post cruise stay in July. Many thanks 🙂
  7. Our luggage has all kinds of reflective tape and ribbons on it ... there is NO way anyone can mistakenly think one of our bags belongs to them. We have been very lucky when it comes to cruising/international travel on flights and luggage. Last year, we purchased Airtags and have used them for all travel (including a trip to Australia) knowing exactly where our bags are. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this mess and hope you are reunited with your possessions at some point.
  8. Must be my taste but we found the canned water to have what I call an earthy, soil taste ... doesn't matter if it's cold or not. We have the premium package so we get either Aqua Panna in small bottles or San Pelligrino (yes, carbonated.) I truly appreciate the whole "save the earth" deal with canned water, but yuck.
  9. Actually, this can happen with any airline as we experienced the same issue with American (although flights were not booked thru Celebrity but directly with airline) for our cruise from San Juan. Our connection time was 54 minutes, a legal connection thru Miami. Long story VERY short, we boarded in the last group only to endure multiple issues causing a 4 hour delay into San Juan. Since we were flying in 2 days early, we had plenty of time. At any rate, flight schedule changes happen. If Delta is labeling as a mis-connect, Flights By Celebrity (a third party booking agency) should be able to change said flights.
  10. Several years ago (pre-Covid) I did a tour (booked directly) with Coastal Helicopters in Juneau, including transportation to and from the pier. Excellent, safe and would highly recommend. Check them out and enjoy your cruise. https://coastalhelicopters.com/
  11. As others have mentioned, not sure if there are different rules outside the US. We are on the Summit 7/15/23 to Bermuda and booked a suite guarantee. Our stateroom was assigned within a few days of booking (well before final payment) to an accessible Sky Suite. Final payment was April 17th. Yesterday we saw a Celebrity suite become available. I called and we were able to pay the current fare difference and "upgrade" to said suite. The only thing we lost was some On Board Credit that was a promotion at the time of our original booking ($150 total so not a deal breaker.) There was no other penalty or fees involved. Ring your Travel Agent and see what they can do. 🙂 Good luck!
  12. Absolutely, Jill. We used Capital Personalized tours. I'm glad to see they're still in business since Covid hit the travel industry so hard (especially in Australia and NZ.) https://www.captours.co.nz/ All the best, Sharon
  13. I would recommend checking with Sitka Wildlife tours which are quite affordable. We did the Premium Sitka sightseeing which lists for $89 per person. From what I found, the glass blowing excursion starts at $79.95 per person. (Sitka Wildlife Tour price includes transportation and admission.) Sitka Wildlife Tours | Scenic Tours of Sitka, Alaska
  14. With all due respect, there is so much more to see in Sitka (and true to Alaska) than a glass blowing excursion. The Alaska Raptor Center, Fortress of the Bears, Totem Park are truly wonderful. Hope you enjoy Sitka, whatever you choose to do.
  15. No, that is not correct. What you need is an Australian Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) only available through downloading their app on a smartphone. Ensure that your passport has a chip, and that you've allowed your phone access through that App to NFC reader. I believe the process for New Zealand is similar.
  16. Another vote for Larry's Limos ... a reputable, fair priced option for private transportation in South FL. Have used them several times and highly recommend their services. Larrys Limo Services
  17. On our Millennium August 2021 sailing (Alaska,) our son & DIL were in a regular veranda, and we were in a Celebrity Suite. We coordinated with the Maitre D in Luminae to have them join us a couple nights for dinner. They were also very graciously invited to join us on the Helipad for glacier viewing by the Retreat Concierge. Other than that, no access to the Retreat or suite perks. We did tip accordingly for the extras offered to them.
  18. Olympia is wonderful! She was the bartender on our March 2022 Reflection cruise - fun and very personable.
  19. Auckland port can only be described as a cluster-duck. Back in January 2017, we disembarked the Celebrity Solstice with hopes of getting a taxi to our hotel ... the taxi line was literally hundreds of people deep as the port access is severely limited. We ended up walking UPHILL to the Rydges Auckland (do not recommend, btw) from the port.
  20. I nor my hubby are LOTR fans but in 2017 on our Sydney - Auckland cruise, we had a wonderful private guide and our tour included the WETA workshop in Wellington, NZ. It was incredible and highly recommended.
  21. When we did the Seavey's tour, we weren't on a ship but actually touring the area from Girdwood with a rental car. As you mentioned, though, I do believe they will provide shuttle service to and from their facility since you let them know you're on a cruise ship. Have fun!
  22. Check out Seavey's Tours if you like dogs ... we've done their Ididaride tour and loved it. Alaska Dog Sledding Tours - Seavey's IdidaRide - Seward, Alaska
  23. I just went to check my travel folder from our 2019 trip. We booked the BC Connector which picked us up at Vancouver/Canada Place at 9:15 am. As I recall, we were off the ship in no time and actually stood in a queue for almost an hour before loading onto the bus. No, we didn't self debark either, and retrieved our luggage. Here is the information from our ticket: Pick up: Canada Place - 09:00 - 09:15 This pick up location is available for Cruise Ship Passengers Only. As the passenger disembarks off their cruise ship, pass through customs and look for our agent holding a sign that says 'BC Ferries Connector - Bus Service to Victoria BC" and check with that agent. DO NOT attempt to walk out onto the bus loading area without checking in with the agent! Passengers must bring any luggage with them as they disembark the cruise ship, and bring the luggage to our bus so we can check it in. After taking the Ferry, we were dropped off (after several stops) in downtown Victoria, just a few steps from our accommodations (The Magnolia Hotel.) We didn't rent a car and used CVS tours to booked transportation and tour for Butchart Gardens. Hope this information helps. Would be happy to look up any other details from our trip (although no doubt things have changed a bit since 2019.)
  24. K12Guy and I have truly enjoyed your posts over the years. So sorry for your loss. May Mr. Chemmo's memory be a blessing.
  25. Unfortunately, yes on having to take Sky Train between terminals at PHX, but it's a quick trip between T3 and T4. As @FlyerTalkermentioned, all concourses have Clear & Pre-Check. Even though concourses connect at Terminal 4, C & D are the Southwest Airlines gates. Unless the security lines are insanely long for A or B, I personally would avoid C & D at all costs. (Southwest passengers - need I say more?) Here's a complete map of Terminal 4 - safe travels. https://www.skyharbor.com/docs/default-source/pdfs/airportmaps/terminal4level3.pdf?sfvrsn=a33b9388_111
