  1. @Guindalf Perhaps contact Celebrity directly, specifically the department that handles medical needs. No doubt there are constraints regarding what tenders can accommodate safely, so best to get an answer from the cruise line. Safe travels!
  2. There's no "u" in Qantas 😉
  3. Of course! We've travelled to Australia several times for both cruise & non-cruise travel. Please let me know if you have any other questions 🙂
  4. As quoted directly from the above link (official Australian Immigration website): "Visit Australia as often as you wish in a 12-month period. Stay up to 3 months each time you enter Australia." I just double-checked on my Australian ETA app and our visas are valid through July 16, 2023 (one year from approval.)
  5. A Subclass 651 is not available to US citizens. Applying for the Subclass 601 is super easy using the official Australian ETA app on a smartphone. We just did this in August for a trip and it was seamless! Yes, there is a processing fee of $20AUD. Our visas were approved in minutes (we have travelled to Australia previously several years ago using the old online visa application.) Subclass 601 Electronic Travel Authority (homeaffairs.gov.au)
  6. We have used Larry's Limos many times for transportation in the South Florida area with reasonable rates. Can't hurt to give them a call and check. https://www.larryslimo.com/
  7. Celebrity docks in Crown Bay for St. Thomas and Taino Bay for DR 🙂 Enjoy your cruise!
  8. No. Havensight Pier is right at the base of Paradise Point. Crown Bay is a distance away and not easily walkable. Last time we docked at Crown Bay (March 2022) I looked it up and Google showed about 3 miles walking.
  9. @HomerGuy Truly sorry to hear of your wife's injury and cancellation of this cruise. Sending healing karma her way and hope you will sail again sometime soon. Best to you and yours this Holiday season!
  10. Here's the Air Canada guide for transit connections in Toronto for US-International. We did a connection like this in August from Phoenix to Vancouver, then on to Brisbane Australia - it was seamless and very smooth. https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/fly/at-the-airport/airport-information/toronto-pearson-international-airport/us-int.html#/
  11. @cruiseryyc is correct that one option would be to take the BC Ferry Connector the opposite direction (from downtown Victoria to downtown Vancouver.) One other option (if price is not of concern) is Harbour Air Seaplanes, which depart and arrive in downtown Vancouver and Victoria. They also have a day tour from Vancouver which includes transport to the Gardens ... again pricey but convenient and far less travel time than the Ferry. Spend the Day in Victoria - Harbour Air: North America's Largest Seaplane Airline - Since 1982
  12. As @martincathmentioned, an overnight in Victoria would be well worth the time. We did the opposite, though ... took the BC Ferry Connector coach to Victoria after our cruise ended in YVR. It was awesome as the Coach picked up at Canada Place after we disembarked, transported us on the Ferry, then to downtown Victoria (just a few blocks from our hotel.) We stayed at the Magnolia Hotel, walking distance to everything. Next day, we took a shuttle to Butchart Gardens, spent several hours and then shuttled back. For another activity option, would highly recommend Canadian Craft tours as well. We took really fun wine tour to the Cowichan Valley. https://www.canadiancrafttours.ca/ After spending 3 relaxing days in Victoria, we flew out of YYJ back to Phoenix on Delta with a connection in SEA. (Unfortunately, Delta no longer serves YYJ.) Whatever you decide, Victoria is lovely ... enjoy!
  13. Going to Victoria and the Gardens for a day trip is possible, but it's a r-e-a-l-l-y long day. There are a few tour companies that offer these trips, though I have not personally used them. We spent several days dedicated to Victoria after a cruise 2019. Might want to check these out: https://vancouvertours.com/tour/victoria-butchart-gardens-tour/ https://westcoastsightseeing.com/guided_tours/victoria-butchart-gardens-tour/ https://pacificcoachtravelservices.com/vancouver-to-victoria-and-butchart-gardens-tour/
  14. There is a Marriott campus of 3 hotels very close to MIA that has a Marriott, a Courtyard and a Residence Inn. We have stayed at all three properties ... I know all have a shuttle from MIA, but I have not arrived at 1am. Perhaps contact one of the properties and ask if the shuttle runs 24/7 on request. 15. Heck, I won't even consider them for Phoenix to Denver, and I'm 5'3"! I'd rather suffer on Southwest (which is an absolute LAST place choice for our air travel.)
  16. The original poster has never sailed Celebrity as quoted: "I have an aqua class cabin for my first celebrity cruise on the Summit sailing the 24th of November, 4 day" and is inquiring about the pros & cons of an upgrade bid. You are responding to Arizona Wildcat who has sailed Celebrity and is offering their opinion on Aqua class vs. Suites.
  17. Although not for a large group of people, we have used Larry's Limos multiple times with great success. Very professional, on time and clean vehicles. I would certainly give them a call. As mentioned by Corby114, it won't be an inexpensive option, but you will be booking with a solid company.
  18. Although the Reflection doesn't have the newest update for suite passengers, she's still an awesome S Class ship for suite sailings. We totally agree with @DCPIV, the Reflection is a great vessel and the suite experience (although not Revolted) is worth every cent! Deck 16 forward (Solstice Deck) is usually deserted and private .... a lovely place to hang out although no bar service. Also, DO NOT be there during sail away from any port ... the ship's horn will literally knock your socks off!
  19. 60 miles is a pretty good click from the border. 😬
  20. I'm not a Seattle expert by any means and others have offered wonderful advice. Just wanted to add we stayed at the Fairmont Olympic last summer and had a wonderful experience. Not sure about location in regard to touring (we'd been to Seattle before so didn't need a tourist location) but easy to get a transfer to the pier the following day. Whatever you decide, safe travels and enjoy your cruise!
  21. Wonderful suggestion! Many years ago, we did a 3 week stint in OZ, including several days on Tasmania. Honestly, Taz was a highlight, for sure. LOVED Bicheno and the seeing the little "devils." We also did a penguin watch in Bicheno. Port Arthur was interesting, but I'm not a big "history" buff. Oh, and one other highlight ... the Tahune Airwalk outside of Hobart ... ah-mazing!
  22. Chiming in a bit late with this post but .... August 2021 we did a Seaplane tour with SeaWind Aviation to Traitor's Cove for bear viewing. We originally were booked with them in August 2019 but weather prevented the flight. Fast forward to 2021 and weather was on our side. We saw several bears, it was incredible! Yes, expensive, but HIGHLY recommend! https://www.seawindaviation.com/seaplane-tours/
  23. You will get so, so many differing opinions on this. Folks that are committed to the latest and greatest will tell you to choose the Apex. Others (such as myself) who prefer the S class ships (even without a Revolution) will suggest you choose the Reflection. I can't tell you which to select. That said, I will say our March 2022 sailing on the Reflection in suite class was exceptional. We truly enjoyed the "old" Michaels Club concept and Luminae. We prefer the extra touches that suite sailing on Celebrity provides. Good luck with your decision and enjoy your cruise!
  24. Hey, Elaine. I appreciate your trepidation regarding Telemed testing. That said, it's a super easy process with many videos online to walk you step by step through the process. It's a very efficient, convenient, inexpensive option. Hope you find a solution that works for you. 🙂
