  1. Which port is this offered out of? Looking at our March 2024 Mexican Rivera cruise...not seeing it listed.
  2. Yes, the casino will ALWAYS be closed when at dock or tendering. Never heard of casino being open while in port.
  3. We only book transfers or hotels through HAL if the travel is complicated by late arrivals or language issues. We haven't booked airfare through HAL ever, in 15 cruises with them. 99.9% of the time we can do it cheaper on our own. The best (and almost only) example of booking through HAL was a cruise out of Lima, Peru. We booked our own flights...arriving at 11pm. HAL had a greeter and cab waiting, and we were taken to a Marriott. Nothing fantastic about the hotel...standard, nothing bad either. Next day we met about 30 others that HAL had put in that hotel for the over hour ride to the ship. We are Hilton loyal (Lifetime Diamond) and coincidentally, there was a nice Hilton a block or two away. Not a problem, just a coincidence. If you are comfortable traveling, I wouldn't book through HAL for a trip to Canada.
  4. Flying direct to a US airport? You will need to clear an extra level of security. You need to be in the airport AT LEAST 2 hours before your flight.
  5. Welcome to Cruise Critic! A quick look around the board would find several recommended companies, including a large thread on Rome in Limo, a wonderful company.
  6. If you do a little reading around the board, or Google search for a map of the port, you will see there is a parking garage directly across the street from 25. Not at the Terminal, but very close. I am sure you will find the prices.
  7. That is cutting it too close. Many threads here suggest not before 11:30...some will try 11:00.
  8. I would expect so, but those things are not etched in concrete, in terms of exact timing, because there are so many variables. If "walk off" is, for example, the second or third group allowed to go, expect that to be true. However, NO ONE can promise you 7am.
  9. What is your previous stop to NY? They might (but I doubt it) if it is in Canada, otherwise no. For Miami, they have ships there everyday...they won't board in advance.
  10. Thanks for that research...the original post was not very clear if what you found is true.
  11. And this is one thing cruise line airfare is usually very good at...one way international fares.
  12. No separate dining room for CO on Volendam. Only on the Pinnacle class ships...Koningsdam, Rotterdam and N. Statendam. On Volendam it should a marked off area in the MDR.
  13. Sorry to hear that. Have used them 8 times. Excellent service for us.
  14. Start by looking on the France board...many discussions on La Havre there. I would expect the Mods will move this over there.
  15. "Worth" is a totally personal and subjective value. We don't know you, so how can we decide "worth" to you? You can see the Golden Gate sailing in and/or out, so that could be a low priority. "Going to an island"? That would be Alcatraz, the famous prison. A very popular and interesting destination. Muir Woods is neat and unique. Sounds like it may require a private tour in your case. It is VERY high demand to see Muir Woods, and reservations are required, which your tour would take care of. Weather will not be a factor at Muir Woods, or at Alcatraz, really. Only sailing under the Bridge. It can be clear, or foggy. Won't know until a day or two before.
  16. Now that you have been moved to the best place, look around the board. Look for the huge thread on Rome in Limo. They are excellent.
  17. Customs in Europe is not really a thing. Yes, you might have to have this pre-approved (get your cruise line involved) but I suspect there will be a brief check. Maybe a little more serious if someone gets suspicious because it is a little unusual.
  18. See the response on your other question: Immigration is the issue, not Customs. It will likely be done in both New York and Miami, as you have left the US, and then returned. I can't give you a real solid estimate, but would think in New York, non-US citizens will require a little more close check, where in Miami all will probably get the same check. Probably would just been easier to start a new thread, as this is a noticeably different situation. Quote

  20. It is not easy to be a "world traveler" on Southwest.
  21. Some times it is, some times its not. Depends on the promo when you book. We have 2 cruises booked, one with tips, one without.
  22. Tamarind is Asian fusion, yes. All these items are in the "Have It All" package. You weren't aware your booking came with those?
  23. It means you have two free dinners each at some of the specialty restaurants. The actual value will depend on which restaurants you are offered.
