  1. A long time ago, and it wasn't good. Haven't used them since. Their price looked good...turned out they weren't disclosing all the fees, until you turned up at the counter. The price there included all the fees, and was similar to everyone else's rates.
  2. Not by any state, federal or local requirement.
  3. If in Ft Lauderdale, they offer Luggage Direct...think its $25pp. In Seattle, they offer Port Valet for free. Just checking you in and printing your boarding pass? No. You can use the internet plans and there is printers in the "business office" or "internet cafe" areas on the ship. You need an internet plan. The Neptune Lounge concierges will do it for you if you are in a Neptune Suite, for free.
  4. If you look on the Florida Departures board, this is discussed daily. Unless there is some unusual problem, you can make the 11:42 flight.
  5. Hmmm...taking the scenic route! No guarantees, but probably a 50-50 chance you will depart out of the E wing, which will cut your walk by about 50%. There is a walkway between Terminal 2 and 3 behind security, so you don't have to worry about that. When you enter Terminal 3, its right at the E wing. Oddly enough, the flight to NOLA left out of the C wing today, is part of Terminal 1. Historically UA has operated a very small number of flights out of Terminal 1. C Wing is a small wing, very close to Terminal 2 (AC comes into D Wing). Don't know when you are flying, but no way to know in advance where your flight with depart out of.
  6. You can get to the point where the pax meet the Carnival rep. Its not technically in baggage claim, it is nearby in a public area. Have done it in a couple of airports.
  7. If you have no allegiance to, or status with one or the other airline, I would book it on the airline actually flying the plane. It will work better if there are problems. The price seems pretty much with current trends.
  8. 3 plus hours of layover at FRA is plenty. Most likely smaller planes doing the short hops won't have premium economy. PE is usually on longer haul flights.
  9. If you read around the board there are a couple of huge threads discussing the damage, the repair schedule and the various solutions, including what they did in 2022.
  10. If you are flying in on AC and departing on UA, you are going Terminal 2 to Terminal 3. A walk the longest distance possible in that case would be a solid 15 minutes, closer to 20 minutes, gate to gate, if you can walk moderately fast. What is your final destination? You might not be departing at the furthest gate in Terminal 3, but you must plan for it. And AC does come in about as far out in Terminal 2 as you can get.
  11. If you live in a drought area, you would find it is not a big deal not to flush for 4 hours (unless you poo)...particularly in the middle of the night. Its not a big deal.
  12. I don't have any experience in that, but others have said similar. Just grab a taxi.
  13. Rotterdam is the same as it's two sisters. Yes, there is a free sauna.
  14. Ships at Miami are ALWAYS coming and going. There will be tons of taxis, and you will have no problem with a 1pm flight. No need to pre-book or take cruise line transfers.
  15. There have been some discussions about cabin stewards finding possible "evidence" that someone in the cabin is sick, possibly with Covid, and not reported and been tested.
  16. The Hilton in Athens? Doesn't exist anymore. Being converted to a Conrad...I think to open in 2024.
  17. Many airlines no longer have a true First Class any more. Lufthansa only has it on a couple of types of planes, but it used to include a separate lie flat bed (not like business class where your seat is your bed). The Senator Lounge at FRA is extremely nice, much better than Business class lounges. Read up on Emirates First Class suites, and similar, for true experiences.
  18. Just walk off the ship with 20 people and grab a tour? Or small groups? Europe is not like many other locations for tour vendor availability at the ports. I would definitely not plan on that option.
  19. Per Cruise Critic rules, tour shares are arranged on your Roll Call, located here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/269-pride-of-america-roll-calls/ It doesn't appear a Roll call has been started...please doublecheck. If not started yet, you can start one, just use the standard naming convention.
  20. Define "long waits" for seating. I have heard of some waits at peak times...15-20 minutes. That can be avoided by not going at peak times.
  21. Please do not type in all caps. It is considered yelling, and against Cruise Critic rules.
  22. It means you have an oceanview room that is capable of holding 4 people. No reason to change it I can think of, without knowing anything about you.
  23. Great point...I was being sarcastic. The point of this thread is that nothing is ever allowed to change.
  24. Iceland and Greenland are amazing places. I would put priority on those.
