  5. Yes, bringing wine on at port stops is not "allowed".
  6. I think Ripcord by iFly has given people over confidence in their ability to fly. Tragic stuff happens.
  7. Dear Newbie: Thanks for your contact, we have looked into this issue and want to assure you that every necessary measure will be taken to try to not have this happen to you in the future. We never like to see mix-ups with the call centers. We here a Carnival Cruises always try to do the right thing. Sincerely, Chris Duffy
  8. As we are West Coasters, we have been on many many Alaska Cruises. Each cruise is different, but many trips have been "shrinkage" cold during most days and evenings.
  9. Alaska balcony requirement.... NO Plenty of space above to see the sites. You can't normally sit on your balcony for long during the day or evenings. Ships have great locations for viewing both inside and out. The excursions are where it's at in Alaska. Fjord/Glacier is only part of one day and usually very cold. Save the cash, do more on land.
  10. Crowds- That's what the diamond lounge is for. Practice your eye roll and disgusted look prior to boarding to deal with unruly parents. Children head to certain locations on these ships, stay away from those locations and you will be fine. (Yes, this may mean you won't see the sun other than in port)
  11. Google can help a lot in this area. Many calculators out there. Also bar menus are out there on the web.
  12. Yes, the confiscation table is a great way to pick up a nice hairdryer and additional extension cords after a cruise. (It's a Joke, folks)
  13. Drinks three or four martinis aboard inside your stomach.
  14. Less expensive downtown hotels The Moore - classic old hotel with funky elevator and rooms, no air conditioners, Concerts directly below you The Belltown Inn - Free bikes, complimentary "locals" hanging-out in the area. The Executive Hotel Pacific - NO
  15. Conventional wisdom states the first bed is always too hard, the second bed is always too soft, but the third bed is just right.
  16. I've heard they are adding this to the Key. Enjoy!!!! 🙂
  17. Don’t be surprised if you don’t receive all the benefits.
  18. We’ve got multiple cruises with the Key at $47.99. Lowest price is $ 29.99
  19. If you choose Coco Cay on another cruise, you should stay aboard the ship and enjoy a light passenger day.
  20. I’ve found two other couples that did this same thing when we first started cruising. Very first cruise, We plugged our travel iron into an old school ship with DC power. Just call it a melted iron, but we didn’t burn down the ship. pay to have your clothes ironed, if you need the wrinkles out. (Wrinkle release and shower steamer does the job for us)
  21. Google how to beat chair hogs on Royal Caribbean for a Royal Caribbean blog you tube video.
  22. The casitas suck. That’s my opinion. the suite area does not have a dedicated server. near the suite area has Baskets that are free and better than the casitas. Of course, for free, you don’t get a free drink or water, but those are steps away. The casitas are rarely rented and not located in prime locations unless your prefer most not being on the pool deck. Google up the Navigator photos and you can see the various locations.
  23. False hopes? One should always read the terms of a contract prior to signing.
