  1. Ditto here, we have never seen teak furniture in a mini-suite. Hi there @suekel!
  2. If I remember correctly, we were on the Crown Princess for that voyage???
  3. Since the re-start, we have logged in over 125 sea days with Princess. As mentioned above by @voljeep, the crew has been great and the service exceptional. If anything is amiss, it has been the inability of the cruise lines to properly staff their ships. Many pre-pandemic crew members have opted not to return to the sea. Hopefully, this situation will correct itself over time.
  4. So sorry, we know how dissapointing this can be. A few years back, we had all of our Iceland/Greenland ports canceled due to weather. A big bummer!
  5. Some Mini-suites also have an upper berth (pull down from the ceiling) to sleep 4.
  6. If I'm not mistaken all of the sofa's in Mini-suites are sleeper sofas. At least that has been our experience having been in many Mini-suites on most of the Princess ships.
  7. Did you experience the strong chlorine smell from the pool? Every time we have been to the Conservatory, the chlorine smell chases us right out.
  8. No bidets. We have sailed on the Majestic several times and will be onboard next April for 33 days, Sydney to Seattle. My biggest complaint about the Majestic is the fact that the ship does not have a Sanctuary. There are many that like the Hollywood Conservatory that is in its place. We are not fans.
  9. The moment we board the ship, my DW stashes her cellphone in the safe and does not remove it until the day of disembarkation. I get to be her "Personal Assistant" while onboard as we share an email account.
  10. When onboard, I usually check our stateroom account daily. Since the start-up we have not had any erroneous charges.
  11. Mini-suites are located on various decks. Check the deck plans for whatever ship you are considering.
  12. @Cinerama We just had our TA check all of our future bookings (6 of them) with the above promotion code. This promotion did not improve what we already had booked. Thanks for the info, it never hurts to check! 🙂
  13. There are lots of cruises available after June so a sale is not likely. Most probable would be an extended dry dock or a charter.
  14. I don't think they will do this as I have NEVER seen this before...

  16. The easiest solution to this issue is just to pickup your Medallions at check-in. There is absolutely no need to have the Medallions prior to boarding. We have picked up our Medallions at boarding numerous times now (because of pre-cruise trips) with absolutely no issues. It has only taken a few extra minutes for the check-in agent to retrieve our Medallions. Maybe if the majority of passengers select to pickup the Medallions at check-in, Princess will find it more efficient to mail them all out for free?
  17. @Cruise till you drop So for those that re-fare / re-book if fairs drop 1) are you booked directly with Princess or with a TA ? With a TA 2) when you book, are you doing anything special on your booking that allows re-fare / re-booking ? No 3) are you re-faring / re-booking online or directly with an agent With our TA 4) are you able to keep your room or are you at the mercy of what’s left On a re-fare you keep your same booking and cabin. On a re-booking you can usually re-book the same cabin, but not always. On a re-booking, you are actually cancelling your existing booking and booking a totally new cruise. 5) how close to sailing can you do this ? Until final payment has been made. If after final payment, you can sometimes get some OBC's if there is a significant price drop. But do not count on this.
  18. Great wine choices! Nero d'Avola is one of our favorite Italian varietals, along with Aglianico from Campania.
  19. We have been on 8 westbound TA's and have our 9th planned for this coming November. For the crossing our favorite thing to do is to be in the Sanctuary. The weather was only an issue on one of our crossings.
  20. We also have the Majestic booked for April of 2024 (33 days) and the Sky for November of 2024 (43 days). It has really paid off for us to book far in advance and we always get the cabin that we desire.
  21. Yes, you should. If your change of status is not acknowledged prior to the end of your first leg, go talk to the Loyalty/Events person to ensure that they recognize the change. Btw, it sounds like the Future Cruise Office is taking over (or has taken over) the Captain Circle duties onboard the ships.
  22. Exactly what we do. We just booked a cruise for April of 2025. That is far out on the calendar, but I will monitor prices and re-fare/re-book if the prices drop.
  23. Below is a link to a thread from last week on the same topic...
