  1. After having some damaged items we only send out anything that can withstand hot wash and hot dry. For the laundry room, we now bring the below washer sheets. They work great. From Amazon... Sheets Laundry Club - up to 100 Loads - 50 Sheets - As Seen on Shark Tank - Laundry Detergent Sheets - Fresh Linen Scent - No Plastic Jug - New Liquid-Less Technology - Eco-Friendly Lightweight Visit the SHEETS LAUNDRY CLUB Store
  2. We are very into wine and believe me, there is no wine shortage on the open market. I think it is more a "shortage" of Princess wanting to spend the money on wine.
  3. They really should be embarrassed by the lack of quality wine onboard. Even though we purchase the Plus Package this has caused us to bring bottles from home or purchase them in port.
  4. It was pretty much a commercial for "The Real Love Boat" TV show. Blah, blah, blah...
  5. @Steelers36 How have they been as far as bringing wine onboard in the ports?
  6. Here is a thread dealing with all aspects of the bidding process...
  7. This current thread's title has the wrong year, but it is the current cruise...
  8. We will be following along, we board on Oct 26th for 37 days.
  9. Even though we purchase the Princess Plus package, we have been bringing our own wine onboard to drink at dinner. The MDR wine selection by the glass is horrible and the poor Junior Waiters spend all their time fetching drink orders. This causes our glass of wine to show up mid-dinner. I happily pay for the corkage and we are able to drink much better wines (usually from our own cellar) as soon as we are seated for dinner. We have found "by the glass" wines in Vines to be totally acceptable on our 6 recent cruises (Majestic and Emerald).
  10. She should try to change the title. "Sapphire, Oct 4th sailing"
  11. The body wash is stand alone. The shampoo/conditioner are one. We do not like their products. We always bring our own.
  12. I believe the Diamond does not start cruising until the end of next month. But, based on Club Class dining on the other ships, it will probably be in the Pacific Moon dining room. On Deck 6, on the Port side.
  13. The selection varies ship to ship.
  14. Just received the below offer for our Dec 28th New Year's cruise on the Discovery. We are currently in a Deck 10 mid-ship balcony. I think we will stay put, as we really like our current location and it is only a 10 day cruise. For cruises 15 days or longer, we prefer mini-suites. 15. We cruised Antarctica in 2011 on the Star Princess. For those 4 days, the temperature never got above 32 degrees Fahrenheit. But, it was our most memorable cruise experience.
  16. Chi Chi Rodríguez was actually from Puerto Rico.
  17. We did that cruise on the Star Princess in January of 2011 as my retirement trip. It was and still is our most memorable cruise experience!
  18. Your DRO is Mario Propato. He is currently the most senior DRO in the Princess fleet.
  19. IMHO that is totally up to you. DRO's rarely receive tips anymore and he is probably not expecting one. Having said that, DRO's remember those that tip and this recollection comes in handy when you run into them again on another cruise.
