Some additional information. Let's say you have a lot of money coming back in credits and you don't want to book several different cruises. You can apply each of these to more than one suite on the same voyage. So for some it might be an opportunity to invite say family to join you on the cruise and the credit could be used for each suite you book. Just a thought. Keith

Ivi, I used the form provided to us. It was a proof of claim form and I hand wrote the information and mailed it certified mail to them while some people sent it as an enclosure to an e-mail. I filled out several of them. It was one page and then I attached my credit invoice from Crystal which showed payment dates, Credit Card company and amounts. If you didn't use a form then go to the Crystal Site and click on what is being asked for so you have the information in front of you. It took me one or two minutes to complete one submission. Keith

Some very positive information for Crystal customers who are owed money from Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony sailings. Keith Crystal Announces Launch of Exceptional Initiative Guests who Lost Money Under Crystal Cruises’ Former Ownership Can Apply for Credits MIAMI –March 23, 2023 – Crystal announced today that it has launched an Exceptional Initiative for all guests financially impacted by Crystal Cruises’ former ownership and their travel advisors. The initiative is being created in partnership with A&K Travel Group, the new owners of Crystal and its two ships Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony. Eligible former Crystal guests who hold a verified claim in the Crystal Cruises LLC case will be able to apply for a credit to use towards future Crystal voyages on board either Crystal Serenity or Crystal Symphony. “This Initiative is a plan we have been working on since we acquired Crystal as it will benefit our most loyal customers. This is not something we were legally obliged to do,” said Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, Co-Chairman of A&K Travel Group and of Crystal. “However, we believe that being Exceptional means doing what is unexpected, unusual, and unprecedented. We are choosing to help former guests and travel agents recover their money and hope we will be able to focus on returning to service, the exceptional crew and onboard service that has made Crystal an award-winning cruise line for three decades.” “What Crystal has decided to do with this gesture is remarkable partly because they had no obligation to do it, but mostly because its gives customers another alternative to recover funds lost in the shut down,” said Mark Healy, Executive Vice President of Moecker Associates. “We are also working to analyze all the claims we received and believe that by the end of the summer we will be in a position to release the first reimbursements.” In order for guests to qualify for the credit, the following conditions apply: · Guests must have filed a valid claim in the Crystal Cruises LLC case for amounts owed related to cruises onboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity that were cancelled. · The amount of the credit will be restricted to the outstanding balances owed to the guest minus any funds that have already been refunded through the insolvency proceedings. · The credit will be split into five installments to be applied towards five future bookings. · The first booking must be made by July 1, 2023, and the credit must be utilized towards voyages departing on or before Dec. 31, 2025. The specific terms and conditions of the Exceptional Initiative along with FAQ’s will be posted on Crystal’s website. Crystal Serenity’s inaugural sailing will depart July 31, from Marseille for a Mediterranean cruise, and Crystal Symphony will depart on Sept. 1, from Athens. Planned voyages will travel throughout the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Canada and New England, Alaska, the Caribbean, through the Panama Canal, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

How the New Crystal is treating Old Crystal loyalists
Keith1010 replied to FLcruiser2011's topic in Crystal
Thankfully internal e-mail which the most of ours was at the time was relatively easy but yes external was more complex. I remember when I had to drive into the office on weekends to check mail as we had no capability from home. Eventually I was given a "dumb" terminal which allowed me to dial in and check mail. No printing capabilities at home. And then the first portable I was given today would be considered a suit case. Oh those were the days and we've come along way. We eventually sold a video device but that was short lived and years later what we had seen at the New York World's Fair came about but with smart phones and applications such as FaceTime and WhatsApp. Keith -
I doubt they would change and drop off this stop in Oman unless there was a security risk. Changing itineraries sometime unavoidable but not something cruise lines prefer to do. Keith

To answer your question I think the answer is simply none of us know. Keith

In the past usually around noon. We don’t yet know how this will be redone when the voyages restart. Keith

How the New Crystal is treating Old Crystal loyalists

The company I spent most of my career with was one of the originators of e-mail for commercial use. When we developed it we first rolled it out internally. This was around 1982. Initially, Managers and above had their own e-mail and non-managers shared accounts; one for each department. So I was on e-mail before most knew what it was. When my family was on e-mail each member had their own I think we had prodigy for the family and then AOL. But Prodigy wasn't formed until 1984 and we probably weren't on it for personal use for a few more years. WIth that said, where I live there are some husband and wives who share their e-mail. Less than years ago but nevertheless some share it. Then again I remember the days when cell phones rolled out that often only one family member had one. And let us forget dial-up access. We've come along way. Keith -
You may make it. But you might not. If it was me I wouldn't do it but I don't want to spend half the cruise worrying about it. See what other options you have. Since it is March of 2024 you won't know the flight schedules for a bit longer. Keith

One of the nice things is often where I live you don't have to go to the store to purchase your food. It comes directly to you. Just kidding. But, we do have quite a few wild turkeys who have made home our community. Keith

Oh yes. I've been using it throughout the winter months at least twice a week and often three times a week. I might have skipped one week when we had the ice storm but other than that I haven't closed down. Keith

10 days ago it was feeling and looking like Spring around here even though the official date for us is March 20. Just a couple of days ago our high was in the 80's (F). Lawns are getting green as they are showing growth and some trees are blooming. Well Mother Nature said, Winter is not over until I am telling you it's over so I hope this is one final reminder and we can just get over this. Thankfully, we are not having the cold and wintry weather that some of you are having but we might get one more freeze. This will confuse the landscape and even some of our other outdoor friends. The good news is by this Wednesday highs are supposed to be low 80's (F) and maybe, just maybe, we will turn the corner on cold weather, at least where I live. Keith

Renderings. At the same time, in the Q&A it notes several public spaces will be updated so likely since these are renderings that this venue will be updated but as they say "time will tell" and it will be only months when this is known. Keith
