  1. Wow, looks like you're having an amazing cruise!!! 😃
  2. I got the 500 and my neighbor has a gig. The best I can get is 300 down on wifi. I've had AT&T come out to trouble shoot my connection. They found that 500 is coming down to the house hardwired, but the wifi is slowing it down. I'm pretty sure no one on the ship is hardwired. But, yes, we're getting off subject...
  3. If you have kids, order 2 lobsters for them also so you won't be charged. 😝
  4. I like the larger ships, the bigger, the better to me. I enjoy seeing a mass of people.
  5. My neighbor has Hughes Satellite and it's faster and more reliable than my AT&T fiber. Yes, it costs twice as much, but his work pays for it, so why not.
  6. Like I said, it seems to be hit or miss. I read reports where the Starlink was very fast on the Panorama, but that was not my experience.
  7. Whatever works...She gets us free cabins and I give back in casino donations...lol...
  8. I usually use Uber because I feel their app is the easiest to use. Not sure if you've been to Long Beach before, but there's only 1 way in and 1 way out. It gets pretty busy with folks dropping people off for embarkation and people picking up after a cruise. So, the line getting into the port can get long. Also, not sure why some GPS units do this, but it can send you to downtown Long Beach. Instead, have your drive follow the signs that say "Cruise Terminal" Have a good cruise 🙂
  9. This is what I don't understand. Seems half the folks say they were denied the stock benefit because of the casino offers, while the other half says they're not denied. I, for one, only sail if there's a decent casino offer. We're been doing casino offers for the last 25 years and for the most part, we've always been able to get the stock benefit. Could it be a regional case where the benefit is denied or not?
  10. The only time I was denied the stock benefit was a few years ago when Carnival was giving out a lot of free cabins to get people back to cruising. I was denied, but reapplied a few weeks later and was approved. YMMV...
  11. Starlink seems to be hit or miss. I was just on the Panorama and the Starlink was horrible while at sea. It was ok when we were in port.
  12. We get free rooms, but are charged for the ports fees. The fees are given back to us through obc.
  13. Oh no, we have to show up at the appointed time and have to wait till 1:30 for our suites to be ready...ðŸĪŠ
  14. This. My wife gambles maybe a $100 a cruise and she gets free rooms, drinks, dinners, etc... I gamble thousands and do not get anything...
  15. Ok, non formal nights, Carnival hasn't really done anything special. The only thing they did was have the staff dress up and dance and tried to get you to dance with them on 1 night. On my last cruise, they were so under staffed that they really didn't have time to do theme nights.
  16. You literally can wear whatever you want. I've seen ranges from tuxes and evening gowns to shorts and flip flops. We're in-between, I usually wear slacks with a button down shirt and my wife will wear a nice summer dress.
  17. I guess it depends on your pvp. I've never had to submit a form, my pvp always made the adjustments for me and sends me the new booking details. On a cruise a few years ago, there were 3 price reductions. My pvp made all the changes for me.
  18. Wow, didn't even know the Elation was still around. She was my first cruise back in 1999.
  19. @wemjam, you quoted the same thing again?
  20. Your credit card company sold your information. I think California is the only state that prohibits that.
  21. This. On my last cruise, my waiter even got drinks for my BIL who was just standing around watching me play.
