Totally agree with you re the news. I put it on out of habit but often turn it off again because it’s so depressing. Don’t get me wrong I’m worried about prices especially now they’ve said the energy cap will only run to April but I don’t want to hear about it 24/7!

I love Knole. I wanted to go to a NT place but we had lots to do this weekend so just went to the park.

Thank you, I must admit I have wondered about respite care but don’t know how they would take it. I’m wondering about moving my original cruise and perhaps booking a short one at last minute. I look forward to the new cruises coming out and hope something grabs me!

That was nice of him. His announcements used to make us laugh, especially when he always said how many miles we were from his home town! And apologised for the ‘pot holes’ when it was a bit bumpy!

Yes I know I have a while to go before I really worry but I can’t help it! We had a chat about it last night then ended up saying ‘well let’s see how we feel at final balance’ ! Trouble is we’ll probably want our two weeks off in June/July if we don’t cruise in October! I will look at 2024 when they come out and that could be an option thanks.

We had Captain Turnbull on a 12 night cruise to the Canaries in 2015, we thought he was great fun but every port he left at least 20 minutes early! Think he was on a bonus 😊

Morning all. I’m getting myself in knots worrying about my cruise next year! It’s not until October but it’s 13 nights. My parents are not too bad at the moment but I can’t imagine leaving them for that long! What to do now they’ve changed the rules?? I’ve postponed this cruise (or had it cancelled) a couple of times since 2020 and it was originally for John’s special birthday. Was seriously thinking of changing it to a 7 night one just to ease my worry but then they changed the rules! Grrr.

Afternoon all. I’ve changed my day off at work this week as I’m learning a new job so am having the same day off as my trainer. So worked today and tomorrow is my day off. I’ve also had my flu jab today (I’m having the other one next week) I looked after my grandson last Saturday as my DiL did some overtime, so that was lovely.

My husband and I do the same as you in buffets and don’t have a problem.

Hello all, we had a lovely overnight stay at Broadstairs last night for John’s birthday, lovely views from the room. We were so lucky with the weather.

I book blood tests in my job, if the patient agrees to give us their mobile number they get a text immediately and then another text is sent the day before. Works well.

My son works for Sainsburys as a delivery driver and often phones customers because they have say a bottle of whisky and nothing else! They normally cancel the order 😊

I agree totally with what fangedrose said. I hope she doesn’t leave anytime soon but sadly P&O have history of selling their smaller older ships. At short notice too sadly.

A very early morning to you. As usual I go off to sleep quite quick nowadays but now wake up often at 3 or 4am wide awake! Hubby’s birthday this week so we might, just might, go away for one night! Can I trust my parents to be left?! They are still taking up a lot of our time but I’ve got irrationally annoyed that my sister (who lives 2 hours away) has just booked a week in Kos in 2 weeks time!! Sunday we are going to our son’s for a birthday dinner for John so looking forward to that.
