Thanks to all for the interesting info. We will be in 8018 for 30 days on Venus, then over to Orion for 15 days in same cabin. Was wondering about noise, etc. up there as well.

No, not even if you are in a suite. (Except for Royal Suite). Simply do as everyone else is required to do, keep your carry on bags with you until cabins officially open. Nothing new there as to what you do in an airport as well.

I should say the only "rare" time we go into the DL for happy hour...is because we have an invite to join two fabulous friends. That makes it worth it. 🥰

IMHO.....with the DL being an enclosed windowless room down on deck four ....I don't find the draw to use it, and you still have to use your same vouchers that you can use in any other lounge with more character. If I use it at all, it's just for coffee in the morning. Love the voucher program!

Yeah, brand new cars...fresh out of the factory. Especially the new models....ooohhh...that new car smell. 🥰 So, some of them sit on the lot for months, or into the next year. I bought my SUV as a leftover when the new model year came out. Still fresh new car, still only 40 miles on it, still full warranty, but thousands cheaper. Remember when I phones first came out? 😮 😮 New fad....thousands $$$ paid for them. Sure...we paid more than the 17 leg pax are picking up now as leftover scraps...but that is pretty much the way it is in the market. Nothing new about that. It's life...poop happens...then you go again. 😄

I can definitely attest to that! 🤗 Was on same cruise here with Dave and Kathy, witnessed same awful experience of the way MTD was being handled, and have witnessed same on each ship since then. We also switched to early traditional on that cruise on EX..(was lucky to get it so late) and have done so now on each cruise since then. Couldn't be happier now. We always check table location upon boarding, and then simply walk directly to table at opening time for dinner...no line...no waiting. Same wait staff, who knows our preferences. 🙂

You are most welcome. I think you did the right thing. We will no longer book MTD, unless they change the program for the better again, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

OK, thanks. I must have misunderstood your post. I assume then, that you were just talking about yourself, with no interest in doing something like the WC. Agree...not for everyone. For me, I was talking about the draw of doing something different for those of us on all or partial of the interesting itinerary. I am on half of the WC...the first and last quarter. Really looking forward to circumnavigating all of South America, and the visit to Antarctica. A bucket list trip...one of many varied adventures that we have scheduled we are hoping to fill...while we still can. 🙂

Our friend and neighbor, one block down in the RV section (we are in the house section). Lost his right leg. Very sad. His wife pulled him out of the Gators mouth. He is recovering in the trauma center.

Nope, just the ones on the WC. To each their own. You would not want to do the WC...good for you. But just because there are those of us who will enjoy this itinerary of places we have never seen, does not mean it is a fit for everyone. For us, it is just an expansion of the many adventures out there to enjoy.

Actually it IS my DH that makes sure I book all these exotic travel plans. I book, and ask for money to do so. 😄

Really? I am leaving end of this month for Maui on the beach, land based condo for six weeks. Then I am coming home for a week, and leaving again for land based rental homes in both Maine and Canada for the whole summer. Home again for a week, then off to Europe for a three week river cruise (Viking) in eastern Europe. Back home again shortly for a B2B on Wonder, 2 weeks before start of WC. And that is just for this year. Following that is even more varied adventures all the way into 2025. Don't assume that WC cruisers are doing just that as their only travel adventure.

Equivalent status only goes up to Diamond (RCI) and Elite (Celebrity). For example, I am going on my first Celebrity cruise next year. I am Pinnacle on RCI, my status match will only be Elite. Anything over that on Celebrity, indeed I would have to earn directly on Celebrity cruises to get to the next levels for that line.

Agree...love the set up of the bar area, but the brunch area just seemed like a different area of seating from the attached WJ. Not very special looking to me.
