  1. Not to mention the people down below getting hit with undies on their head. Ewww... 😉
  2. When I do hand laundry of light things, I wash/rinse and then roll up tight in towels to drip dry. Transfer to hooks on hangers on the cabin ceiling. Hanging out on the balcony is iffy (and not recommended) and something I would never do unless docked up. The Seagulls would end up wearing your delicates if they blow off into the wind! 😮😉
  3. You are most welcome. It sure keeps me from overpacking! 😉
  4. Hey Dude!! Good seeing you as well! We are "land lubbers" until September now. Leaving end of next month to the the "anniversary/birthday" stint on Maui for six weeks, and then on to our usual summer haunts in Maine, with finally being able to toss in a month in Canada as well. 🙂 Seriously doubt my passport, even though "expedited" will be back before we leave for Maui...but at least don't need one for there. 😉 Bucky says "Hi" back at cha!
  5. Nice idea...and I like the obvious red color....but if not enforced, pretty much worthless. 😞 I am not a "lounge chair lizard" and have never used them or the pools/hot tubs, so I don't use the pool loungers. (Prefer my own balcony) But is the ship not swiping sea pass cards to check out a pool towel any longer? I would think a collection of towels on chairs not being used, then tossed into the towel bin would generate a charge? But that probably opens up a hot mess on that subject. 😉
  6. I hang reminder notes, invitations, trip itinerary on the magnets I buy from ship magnets that I buy at their shops. I also have clip magnets to hang the heavier stuff. Plus I take favorite magnets from various ports to "dress up" the wall and the outside door. Hook magnets are used for hats and drying hand washable light things, etc. Our last cabin attendant was so fascinated by our magnets, that I bought her one from the ship (Jewel) and gave it to her. You would have thought I gave her a 100 bill...she about cried!
  7. I have an I phone...but don't use it for check in. I check in on my laptop. I print my set sail pass, and hand over with my passport at check in. They take my picture...whole process takes less than 5 minutes. Don't over think this. Relax....breath...enjoy your cruise.
  8. Indeed a nice perk...though do keep in mind it only matches to their Elite level (RCI Diamond level) no matter how far up the C&A ladder you are from Diamond and up on RCI ...the rest of the points to get to further levels on Celebrity requires actual sailing on Celebrity.
  9. Nice thing about liking smaller ships out of Tampa....that is all you will get. 😉 A little barrier out in the harbor prevents any thing larger. But it is pretty sailing under at night all lit up. I broke my foot first night on Brilliance out of Tampa, spent the rest of the 7 night cruise in a wheel chair...but still found a way to enjoy it. That was 4 year ago.
  10. Will find out with our upcoming next cruise...which is a Viking cruise. 23 night European Sojourn river cruise in Sept. 🙂
  11. Yup, and then I rebooked again...this time with Radiance. Just after that, RCI decided to cancel to send her to New Orleans. Not really a good idea to follow up the pain of Covid cancellations with a whim of "Hey...let's mess with these people and cancel again" Once again, having to cancel flights. IMHO...they should have kept things neutral and let people rebook "with confidence". Viking is happy to get the business.
  12. We were considering adding in the 12 night as a B2B, but will be already doing the circumnavigate S. America starting this December on Serenade.
  13. Gosh no...too big for us. We are just outside PC in a little gated community just west of I-95. 15 miles to PC for a local cruise.
  14. I am on a bit longer than 7 night on Serenade mid December. 😉 She is doing stints out of Miami just before we board. Before that, Serenade seems to be doing some 4-5 nights out of Tampa with an occasional 7 night mixed in. Good to see so many options out of Tampa now. 🙂
  15. I am happy to have booked Celebrity...finally...for the first time. Very interesting 8 night that goes to New Orleans on Constellation. 🙂
  16. I love the tracking you get from Amazon sometimes. They show their little van moving up our street, with "stop numbers" yet to go and a map. I will walk out to the driveway to meet them when they pull up. I know most of them by now...good people. 🙂 One likes Dove chocolates. 😄
  17. Each time I send out something certified, the clerk always asks if I would require "return signature receipt" I believe that is what you are talking about. Most of the time, I simply want the tracking, and don't need signature return receipt, but have used it on occasion. Should have it done with this one, I think I did it the last time. Oh well..I know they have it now with the cashed check. All priority mail is sent with tracking. Another "coulda-shoulda-woulda" would have been to go that route as well. In our private community, we have our own U.S. post office within. Just makes it really easy to send out via golf cart ride to the office here. 😉 I normally don't have a problem with them.
  18. Radiance, Grandeur, Enchantment, Celebrity Constellation.....all have 7 night and longer cruises you can book out of Tampa....and some are year round now.
  19. You are most welcome. Keep in mind, it needs to be a government issued (state, federal, etc.) issued picture ID. A "do it yourself" probably won't make it.
  20. I sent all important things certified so I have tracking. Then again...when transferring from one government facility to another....all bets are off. Your tax dollars at work. 😄
  21. LOL...Return receipt would work if USPS actually recorded it as delivered. They still show it as "in transit". 😄
