  1. I would hate to hazard a guess to what we Pinnacles have contributed to the RCI coffers over the years (and we sail in suites). That little gold pin is the most expensive piece of jewelry I own. 😄
  2. The attendants that deliver your luggage do not use the beverage carts that move through the hallways before the cabins are open. And no...the cabin attendants DO NOT deliver those purchased water cases to your cabin. It is the beverage department. Separate department, delivered well before you have access to your cabin. That is why it is waiting for you when you enter after cabins are opened to new pax. How many times have you done B2B cruises? If you did...you would know that. Now you do.
  3. Years ago, the porters would look the other way when simply "slapping a tag" on a bulky case of water. Now...they won't take it. Can you imagine the poor cabin attendants that are delivering your luggage... trying to drag around that heavy, bulky case (with no handles or wheels) to bring to your cabin? And obviously is the reason that pax wanted it checked, instead of carry on. The rules state 12 bottles of water, packed in your carry on...is what is allowed. Me? I simply go online and order/pay for a 12 pack of water to be delivered to my cabin. Those cases are rolled down the hallway in carts as they deliver to the cabins like they do the amenities during embarkation.
  4. The reps are farmed out to various countries, who work from home. I have heard dogs barking, kids/babies crying, etc....the chickens would make sense.

  6. I was wondering about that, since they are the same company. Kind of figured that would happen. Will find out very soon how the "other lines" operate. But I am not really worried about Viking. Already having problems with American Queen Voyages, with them cancelling (chartered) the river cruise I booked (as soon as I paid it in full) ......grumble. 🤬 Trying to get rebooked for later cruise.
  7. OMG....now I am getting more and more justified in booking with other lines. Sigh...hate to see that have to happen....but seems we are now all being taken for granted. Long time Pinnacle friends are doing the same thing. Bye bye RCI. You apparently don't need us any longer.
  8. One more reason we have started booking with other lines. It's "new and improved" cut back, after cut back, etc. None of it to benefit we the loyal cruisers...only to save RCI $$ for itself. Just booked another Viking cruise a few minutes ago. RCI cancelled two of my Australia cruises, Viking now picks up that business.
  9. Might try that tomorrow. The milk in the CL is weird again, like it was the last time we were on board last month. I think they need to do a serious cleaning of the lines.
  10. Hello again! We did Giovannis last night. Food was good, but service very slow. Good service in the MDR on Saturday night. Chops for breakfast has also been sllllooooowww. Think we will try the MDR for breakfast tomorrow. Lunch in the MDR was excellent yesterday. Like you, we will brave the WJ for lunch today. I do love sitting outside on the aft, al fresco. 🙂
  11. Uh-oh...where were you? Hiding somewhere you sneaky dude you! I did manage to get the app fixed, or rather Jose did...the best IT guy I have ever met, who works the GS desk. He helped me with laptop problem last month too. Guy is good!
  12. I am still frustrated they have not released the "down under" Aussie/NZ cruises yet for the 24/25 season. NC was originally stating Dec., then Jan., then February...keeps getting pushed off. 😞
  13. We haven't had any trouble at all with the CL concierge on Jewel, or the SL concierge on Voyager.
  14. Agree...if that pax felt the need to say something...it should have been to the concierge...not your kids.
  15. Anything goes for "white night". Bucky wears a Columbia fishing shirt, I have a silky "boyfriend style" long sleeve. I dress it up with a black bead necklace. Simple!
  16. Check in was amazingly smooth and on the ship by before 10:30 (which was our assigned check in time at the terminal). Easy checked bag drop off, and nice way to get to terminal on the fly over walk bridge from the garage. Dinner in MDR was decent, but Chops breakfast service and food was dismally bad again like last time, last month. Will try again tomorrow morning, if still bad, will try the dining room for breakfast. The dining info on the app has not worked since we boarded.
  17. Same for both...though I totally agree...that pax had no right to say something to your kids. If she would have waited she would have noticed them joining you. Or at the very least, say something to the concierge...not your kids. Once again, another reason we don't go into the DL for happy hour. Don't like the attitude.
  18. Nice! I bet you get carded as well at liquor stores! 😉 😄 One thing about the keyed entry lounges....if belong...your key will work. If not....it won't. But there are still some that "sneak" in behind someone. The concierge usually figures it out. Was more of a problem when the drinks were free flowing during happy hour in the DL. Now...you have to use your vouchers. If you present your card and it does not have vouchers, or more obviously does not say Diamond or above, you get the boot.
