  1. Indeed it is sad. Our cruise on Jewel, just previous to Voyager, our cabin attendant was very unhappy about it. He told me the rest of them are not happy either. What if every cabin chooses morning? He/she will never be able to get off the ship for some R&R with that extra load. We are back on Jewel B2B again on Saturday, will be interesting to see if they have gone to that by then. So many cutbacks...sigh. 😞
  2. Our attendant last week told us he was going from 18 cabins to 25.
  3. And this is not Snark? ^ Look in the mirror my friend. You are the one that chastised me that I had no idea what they were in line for...that I was making assumptions...you were wrong. But since you asked....No...never...ever would I remove the gratuities. My grats are always prepaid in advance. In fact I was in line to get change for a 100 bill for extra tip money. I tip 5.00 cash extra for each meal, including breakfast. Plus tip cash for every voucher (free drink) we get. At the end of the cruise, we pass out even more cash in hand to those that deserve it. There...happy now...you have your answer.
  4. That would work, but it doesn't for us...different strokes. 🙂 I like hanging out in the cabin after early breakfast with the cabin all freshened up. If we have to wait, it is usually only 10-20 minutes or so anyway. I just deal with it. We don't leave the ship most days until almost noon. It's our quiet time on the ship. And actually our attendants love it that we are out early people, so they can get our cabin done and out of the way.
  5. Oh I forgot.....you were there with me in line to hear the discussions going on around me, that were impossible to not over hear. The agents are very close together at the desk on Voyager, and many of the pax had louder than normal voices. Silly me to not to acknowledge you standing there. 😮
  6. I don't like coming back to the cabin after breakfast and having to find a place to sit somewhere while with the attendant in there. It happens more often than not. We don't leave the ship until well after the masses do.
  7. Not yet on Voyager we just disembarked from on Sunday, but cabin attendant told me it was to start next month.
  8. I have given up trying to find someone for the extra hangers. I like hanging my clothes as soon as I get the bags. A dozen or so light weight plastic hangers gets tossed into both of our bags, and I even take pants hangers now.
  9. I liked not having towel animals on Voyager, and did not miss it. IMHO, it's a waste of their already frenzied time to clean the cabin, and with going to once daily and more cabins....yikes.
  10. We never received one single towel animal on the B2B2B Voyager we just disembarked from...did not bother me. That ship was still on twice daily cleaning, but was to change next month.
  11. You would not believe the line at GS on Voyager the last few weeks out of PR of pax removing their gratuities. They justify this by stating "I only eat in the WJ". They are probably the ones that you walk by their open cabin door and notice it looks like a bomb went off in there. I have asked cabin attendants "how do you clean around that mess"? 😮
  12. Exactly how I feel. If given the choice, it will be evening for us. We are out for a longer time in the evening.
  13. Just back from PR...had to pay 30.00 for two and 40.00 for the third suitcase each way on Jet Blue for our B2B2B cruise. I have no problems at all hand washing light loads during slack times. The 36.00 bag is free for us, AKA "boil and fry", so I use it. It is fine for cotton undies, exercise clothes, cotton socks and t-shirt. I would not put anything else in that bag. They also send us 3 bottles of wine per week for free, so no schlepping wine on board either. But if I am like you...don't do any laundry at all, and just pack extra suitcases...how many will I need for my World Cruise? 😉
  14. That's good. It's a matter of principal for me. My own personal boycott of the way those countries treat women. 😉 Yeah, it's just my choice. Will you get to use your balcony on the canal transit? Keep your curtains open?
  15. Not disagreeing with you...agreeing with you. IMHO...crew rotation comes into play here. Even the waiters and bartenders rotate every other...and sometimes every week. (Which seems to be more often now than a few years ago). We had a huge difference in food and service in the MDR on 3rd leg versus prior 1st and 2nd leg of just disembarked Voyager yesterday. What we are hoping, is to have a better experience on Jewel on reboarding Saturday, unlike disappointing experience we had on her last month. Serenade the month before rated above her twin sister in both service and food....and of course...all a matter of personal experience indeed.
  16. Ouch...though I think that leg is longer than leg #1 and leg #4 (both of those being at 62 nights. I am happy with just the two legs, and trying to rebook Australia again for 2025 (most likely not with RCI who cancelled two of our Aussie cruises within 2 years of each other ). I won't cruise through the Suez...so leg #3 of WC was out for us from the start anyway.
  17. We did not have very good luck with food and service (except for great cabin attendant) on Jewel B2B last month. Not our best cruise at all. Though we were very happy with Serenade service and food the B2B just prior to it.
  18. We are back on board Jewel on Saturday, just returned from B2B2B on Voyager yesterday.
  19. But still has not cruised. Still no personal experience.
  20. Ok...thanks...that makes sense. 🙂 I might make two payments then. Fourth leg more pricey than 1st leg. $$
