  1. We get that in Florida all the time. For some reason the vultures will "party" on the roof of one house daily, but won't on the neighbors in our community with duplicate homes in different sections. And indeed you can't harm them. They also terrorize our daily garbage bags we set out, which has to be put in bins (apparently the big birds can't perch on them). Nasty dirty birds. 😛
  2. Maybe they did not like your choice of food. 😉 I think they prefer piles of french fries. 😄
  3. LOL...try eating at one of those tables at Chill Grill and turn your head with your food on the table...or worse yet, walk off to get something to drink with your food on the table. It won't be there any longer. And it does not matter what time of the year. We have been there many times from the months of Oct. to June and always the same thing. The tarps (sun sails) out there...for decoration, sun protection, and a failed attempt to keep the Seagulls away. Next time you are there...look closely...you will see the addition of thin wires running over head from tarp to tarp as well.
  4. All four sisters are identical...basically. It's the crew that makes the difference. Radiance class is still my favorite of the RCI classes. Other than that...pick for port and itinerary. Will be getting very familiar with Serenade by December. 😉
  5. Just check "birth certificate" to fill in form. When your new passport comes, go back in to edit and enter the new passport number. I did that once when I forgot to bring my passport when staying in Maine for the summer. Was easy peasy to just go back in to edit when I got home.
  6. LOL..pretty much could write anything you want.....it's still "boil and fry". 😄
  7. Serenade in rougher shape, but experienced good service and food. Jewel is in better shape than Serenade, but IMHO the service and food was sub par.
  8. LOL...you can't fix stupid. Birds just doing their thing. 😉 Yeah, the movie the Birds gave me nightmares for weeks when I was a kid. 😱
  9. Sister arrived at just after 10:30 yesterday, dropped her bags, got in line. Doors opened at 11 am, quick check in and walked right onto the ship at 11:10. She had suite privileges, being able to arrive earlier.
  10. Since the voucher program came out, we never us the CL/SL for happy hour any longer. I only use it for morning coffee. DL is just plain nuts, don't go in there at all. Our go to spot is usually the underused and beautiful VCL. Happy hour is any hour, at any lounge. 🙂
  11. Last two weeks here on Voyager, we had access to SL. The threshold on this ship (varies at the whim of each ship's management)....is 50. We had 46 first week, 45 last week. This week...scheduled 54...so we are kicked out this week. 😞 Not really a big deal for me, since I only use the lounge for early morning coffee. It's nuts with all the Ds, D+, and now add back in the Pinnies for the single coffee machine in the DL.
  12. Well.....more of a Pinnacle "event" in one of the common lounges for 3 hours. 😉
  13. Yup, bad apples in the barrel. 😞 Thank you for obeying the rules and respecting your fellow passengers! 🙂
  14. LOL...I forgot about the drill sargent! 😄 I will ask Bucky about the gas mask!
  15. We don't go into the casino much, except to pull leftover OBC and those little promo plays. Cashing in a couple of days ago, when the casino was practically empty (only time we will go in to do so), the cashier lady was really pissed at the pax that come in there just to smoke. Not to gamble at all, but just sit around and smoke.
  16. There was a long line of pax already at the terminal when we got there, and were already boarding once we got inside. We also had the earliest check in time at noon....but it was obvious hundreds had already checked in and were on the ship well before we were. Heads up...traffic coming into the port area is horrendous. Really starts to clog up by 10 am, as we noticed from our hotel window, which looked out onto the port and the access road. They are not enforcing check in times...which is making the early traffic coming in really bad.
  17. Sounds like multiple offences to me. They would have been warned and or fined first.
  18. Currently on 3 week, and same as you. Pack for a week, recycle. 😉 Same as our four week in Oct. on Wonder.
  19. Agree! And do similar. Usually a "sea day" laundry day for me. I use a collapsible rubber tub, and also bring my own laundry detergent. Wash in tub, rinse in sink, then roll in towels to absorb excess water. Hang from hangers on magnet hooks on ceiling. Works for me. 😉
  20. I only do B2B plus cruises. Boil and Fry (aka wash and fold), hand washing, and on really long trips, dry cleaning is our option versus overpacking. Just how many suitcases would I need for the World Cruise if I didn't do that? 😉
  21. No RCI ships have self service laundry...but there is a rumor they may add a laundry room on Serenade for World Cruise.
  22. Got my "boil and fry" back yesterday afternoon as well.
  23. Not finding Twinkies on the ship right now. 😉
