  1. We were on Wonder for four weeks. Though we did not sit or hang out in the Solarium, we did enjoy walking through it on our daily tour of the ship. I found it "just right" each day. Did not notice it being hot and humid. The area is huge with very tall "pillowed" ceiling for insulation and piped in A/C.
  2. LOL...that's true. I forgot the "flags" of C&A were of a color. I was thinking clear like a Diamond...so dress code would be Saran Wrap? 😉
  3. Would not mind going into Giovanni's for breakfast. 🙂
  4. Dave is spot on....luggage tags can be found in both edocs and the section where you did your online check in. Just check 30 days before your departure for them. My issue is printing the set sail pass. I can't figure out how to print without that awful solid black header on that page that eats up my ink cartridge. Used to be able to just print the set sail pass by itself without the garbage. I print it, and then cut it to size to slip inside my folder with my passport. Such a waste of ink with that header. Dave? And ideas? Am I missing something?
  5. Hmmmm....what color is diamond/diamond plus? 😄 😄
  6. This has been years ago since we tried it after the new owners took over...may be better now...but we were "one and done" with the new owner experience. Have not been back. The cooking class was not nearly as fun or the quality that Chef Luis used to do. The new chef and the class were more geared for "the masses"....not foodies. And the resort had gone theme park style...not relaxing any longer.
  7. It's weird when we get some with long sleeves...some with short sleeves...some pure cotton (and usually quite worn out). I prefer the poly/cotton blend robes...much more cozy...but I take whatever they give us.
  8. I am with Dave....those things can be dangerous at times. 😮 I cut my hand on one they gave me on the ship when I forgot my waiters key. I could probably open a bottle of wine in my sleep using those slim waiter's keys.
  9. Thanks...and you and Kathy as well!! Well, not toooo peaceful...tough work hefting up that mug of beer! 😄
  10. Uh-huh...no wine shall be spilled before it's time. 😄 🍷
  11. It was grouped together on Serenade a couple of weeks ago. Will be interesting to see how the Jewel does it. I think you are on this coming Friday as well?
  12. SilkySal (as usual 😉 ) is totally correct. If you book ahead of time, you will have to pay for it in full ahead of time.
  13. We did it years ago...before the new owners took over. The cooking class at that time was fantastic! Still have fond memories of our favorite chef Luis. Great time! Not impressed (IMHO) with the new class they do now. Resort has become too commercialized and theme park style for us.
  14. Spent 12 years in the wine business as a sales rep to restaurants. I always told the staff when I would teach wine classes to the wait staff...."The Golden Rule of wine is the wine you like the best". Could be a high end Bordeaux....or a simple glass of White Zin . It's what you like that matters. 😉
  15. I will be refusing them. Serenade is the one ship that I keep getting duplicates on...and give each one away. I must be addicted to that little ship. 😄
  16. I was wondering about that also. As Pinnies we already get most of the "exclusive WC freebies" offered on board. Will be very interesting indeed, along with how many of us there are on that sailing.
  17. Bucky loves his glass of Oberon Cab for dinner. Where else can you get that glass for dinner for just 1.18? 😉
  18. I don't remember those...but the old brain does not retain as much as it used to. 😉
  19. That is the only way I do it. Get an almost immediate reply, then OBC shows up on an updated confirmation they send me via email within a day or two.
  20. The OP has asked a simple honest question and received the proper answers. No need for "some" to be so (as usual) crass. 😕
  21. "I don't read all your posts"....as someone once told me. 😛
  22. I also no longer bring wine on board for seven night cruises. B2B 7 nights...6 bottles of wine...and several times have taken one off the ship at the end. What I dislike is the 6/8 night cruises. We are still on for our usual two weeks or more, but when it is a "six night" they short us the wine. Instead of 3 bottles we get just one on a six night...would be nice if it was at least two...but that's how they save money. Among a few other events they don't have on a six night. 😕 Soooo for Jewel 6/8, I am back to bringing on one bottle of wine.
