Should Concierge confirm requests sent by email>?
Ourusualbeach replied to mafig's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Your specialty dining reservations will not show in your planner. They can't unless you pay for them. They do not actually have access to the dining system until the morning of your cruise. What they do is keep a list snd make them that morning or let the restaurant manager know to add you in once the system switches over. -
Cabin assignment and Royal Up bid questions?
Ourusualbeach replied to Mparker12's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Its still possible but the chances of another cabin in the exact same category being available are very slim. -
Are the times listed all aboard or departure?
Ourusualbeach replied to justjim9510's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I would bet that most of the people that are late are not booked with 3rd party excursion providers but have just gone on their own by renting a car or taking a taxi somewhere. The vast majority of 3rd party providers are very reputable and will get you back to the ship on time...their business depends on it. -
TA's do hold space. Not rooms, and Royal will hold back a certain amount of cabins to honor that commitment.

Cabin assignment and Royal Up bid questions?
Ourusualbeach replied to Mparker12's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes it is possible. -
This is a common misconception. Sold out categories can indeed be repriced. Royal does maintain a price for sold out categories in the event of cancellations. Price drops can be category specific or across the board where they may see a sailing not selling and apply a flat rate % off of every category. This woukd be applied to sold out categories as well. The best way to monitor this woukd bevto track a category similar to what you booked, fir example owners suite and crown loft suite. If you see a big price drop on a similar category it's worth a call. I have had a price drop applied to a Royal suite and there is only one if those.

Odyssey 1/2025 cruise disappeared from Website

It's listed on cruising power (Royals website for travel agents) and there are plenty of cabins available to book. -
Adding services mid- cruise?
Ourusualbeach replied to Jakefromcanada's topic in Royal Caribbean International
There is a cutoff point usually a couple days in. On a 4 night cruise I'd be very surprised if you could buy it after day 2. -
Sorry to hear this, check with your credit card company as you may be covered under that as many cards do have a limited coverage travel component.

Advrnture seems to be the only ship so far. I find that odd.

I guarantee you 100% that Royal will build ships to replace Vision and Radiance class ships...Celebrity is not Royals market. -
Is Royal Caribbean building any small ships?
Ourusualbeach replied to latebuyer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The simple fact is that the big ships cannot service many of the existing itineraries that Royal offers. As these smaller ships age out Royal has 2 choices. Either build new smaller ships or abandon many of their itineraries. My money is on the new ships. -
Any deck plan site will only use the deckplams published by Royal and they just show all walls as a straight line when on reality thry are not. Too bad they aren't like Celebrity that do show the notches in the walls.

Balconies still follow the same pattern as Oasis class ships. Not sure about OV.

I know a couple of people who thoroughly enjoyed it. "Worth it" is entirely subjective. Do you dine at restaurants on land that are $200pp, if yes then nit may be worth it, if you avoid restaurants that have that price point on land then I would say just because it is at Sea it would not be worth it. -
