  1. What VV and Azamara do is really irrelevant to what Royal, Carnival and NCL do as it's a small and totally different market. It's the big three that will have to stay stay together or risk losing market share. Once one of those three announce their plan the other 2 will most likely follow fairly quickly.
  2. That was announced yesterday. Way before the CDC even released their guidelines.
  3. Vaccination information can only be uploaded through the app and not through your computer.
  4. An update from Vikki Freeds coffeetalk. The CDC is releasing a new set of recommendations for the cruise lines. Royal is waiting for those to be released (this week) prior to announcing their new protocols
  5. You should write a book. Could be a 5 part series. One for the events leading up to the cruise and another for each leg.
  6. To add to this. The 100% penalty only applies if you cancel the booking. If you move the booking to a different ship or sail date then the old $100pp penalty still applies
  7. There is no best sale. They have been running the same sale for the past 7 years or so. If you book either refundable or non refundable you can get price drops up to final payment date which is 90 days to sailing
  8. Yes you can switch at any time from refundable to non refundable you just can't switch back. Also note that closer to final the NRD price may be more than what you paid. If you cancel you lose the full deposit. If you move to another sailing then there is a $100pp penalty
  9. I usually plan where I'm eating for Lobster night which is usually Chops. I always stop by during the day to make the request so they are not having to run to the main dining room when they are busy. This way the get them before dinner and cook them at thr restaurant. Did this last week on Ovation
  10. Yes you can make reservations via the app once you connect to ships wifi
  11. I thought that this was a pretty classy move by Royal to honor all the deposits that folks who had booked on Crystal Endeavor lost when Crystal went bankrupt. RCG ACQUIRES ENDEAVOR Royal Caribbean Group has received court approval to acquire the ultra-luxury cruise ship Endeavor. Originally delivered to Crystal Cruises in 2021, the ship will be renamed Silver Endeavour when it officially joins Silversea Cruises' fleet, this month. As part of the ongoing RCL Cares program, Royal Caribbean Group will protect the deposits of guests who were originally booked on Crystal Endeavor and make a new booking on one of our global brands.
  12. Azamara dropped testing kept vaccine requirememt as of July 26
  13. Azamara dropped testing, kept vaccinated status starting July 26.
  14. Glitches like this don't really affect cruising power. Realized after posting the glitches comment was part of the other thread and not yours. Hard to tell on the phone.
  15. We don't know that they are pulling her from Europe completely, perhaps they are modifying itineraries and picking up some portions of what SR was doing.
