  1. The clamshells are also $10 more. The same ones you rent way ahead of time but then get there and they are all gone. Perhaps they should fix the pile of broken ones.
  2. Stockholder here and no I don't think that at all. If you're going to raise prices this drastically this quick after another price increase then add value to the product. There's nothing more to these cabanas than before. And I doubt the employees doing all of the work see a dime. Carnival can't figure out how to use the drink package at these private islands but though.
  3. These price increases without a single additional perk is insane. Although Carnival knows people will rent them regardless. Not me. And it's not fake. The prices are already showing online. I have cruises booked that stop at HMC and Amber Cove. 🤬
  4. This is definitely an example of a learning curve and also using a TA that knows what they are doing. We use gift cards almost exclusively, and I know how to get a refunds for any purchase made with them if need be. Sorry you had a hard time.
  5. how would anyone here know that? There's nothing wrong with a 4.5 and seems more realistic anyway than a perfect 5.0. Give the ship time to get in the water as Carnival and create experiences. I know we are so excited. She looks beautiful!
  6. Yup there's no cruise summary. I noticed about a month ago.
  7. A pleasant surprise perhaps. Lol. Still a bit of a letdown for as long as they had been talking about this ship. I already booked something else by now anyway. Glad I didn't wait.
  8. I'm with you. It's just like they are putting the Jubilee in Galveston to literally do one itinerary week after week after week. We enjoy leaving from different ports now that we've exhausted Florida, but we've already done Jubilee's ONE itinerary on other ships at least 3 times. Carnival rarely does unique itineraries in the summer. No journeys. And only a handful going to Canada. We have never sailed from the West Coast so that would be a nice switch, but it took them too long to put out Firenze itineraries for early bookers like us, so we booked something else. I was surprised when it did come out that it was the same itineraries as the other two ships in Long Beach. 🙄
  9. Thanks. We usually don't have an issue with uber or lyft when we go into the city. But I'll see what happens. Thanks for the tip.
  10. Circle C they can come and go as they please. The program is not nearly as structured as Camp Ocean. My kids have enjoyed it on some ships more than others. Let them go the first night and try it. They will make friends. And there will be plenty of food for them to try, as well as the safe stuff. If there's something they want that's not on the menu, they can ask. The kitchen will do their best to accommodate.
  11. We'll be taking the train from Newark to NY Penn. Can someone tell me how to direct the lyft/uber driver? What pier does Carnival leave from? Anyone know?
  12. Thanking you in advance for any help! We will be taking a Canada cruise this summer for the first time and really have no idea what is available to do for a family of 4 (two teenagers). We will be visiting Saint John and Halifax. I know for fact that my daughter wants to see the Titanic Cemetery, but I'm not sure what else we would do with the day. We also wanted to go whale watching, but our cruiseline (at least so far) offers no excursions for it. We don't care for ship excursions anyway. We don't mind paying for a decent private tour in at least one port. The other, I presume, we could just walk around and explore. Shop, eat, etc. But I don't know what port would be better for which. We don't mind walking, we love to eat lol, and really looking forward to this cruise. I want to make the most of it. Any help would be appreciated.
  13. My family booked this one when it was the Magic. Looking forward to a totally different type of itinerary. Hoping to get some ideas for excursions. We are from NJ. Yayy alas no flying!
  14. We did the tailgate one last year and signed up for pie baking this year. Since the classes are limited and go so fast, we just picked one based on the day we wanted to do it. Don't take too long to decide!
  15. Very few itineraries go to Antigua. Only a few long ones. We've been trying to get back there since we went in 2014. Such a beautiful port. Can't find it on any Royal, NCL, or MSC 7 or 8 itineraries either.😒
  16. If one of the passenger's is listed as TBA, it won't allow you to look up flights. Also can't use it for TBA room assignments. What your PVP said about not supporting LAX is not true. Nor does it matter that you're 300 days out. Also - depending on where you live, the system may not be able to pick up a home airport.
  17. There is no reason at all why you don't have a cabin assignment at this point. None. Period! If they can't accommodate you in one room then they should give you two. Work with you or whatever it takes. Call and ask for the escalations desk, a supervisor, both. Email cclsupport@carnival.com, write John Heald, whatever you have to do. Not that you should have to do anything! Carnival made the ship swap then put the passengers already booked on it through crap just to get a room assignment. SMH.
  18. Magic 6201 and 6202 have a couch. Same on the Vista. Grab one of those if you can. Better deal. Between the two, I prefer the very front as opposed to the very back. Love 4J cabins.
  19. For the excel class ships, they are all built the same. Find pics people posted who stayed in an actual room. That's it. That's the full proof way to know. These theories falter. Trust me. Not that I care. I don't. But alot of people seem to. You may wind up disappointed. There are so many videos and pics of actual rooms online.
  20. We don't pull any ordering trick. Just ask for a shirley temple. Not one bartender has ever said no or charged for it. Pepsi with a shot of grenadine and cherries works too. My daughter likes that.
  21. my kids get so many shirley temples with their bubbles that they started a running joke about how many they drank by the end of the cruise. It absolutely does include them in bubbles. My kids have gotten the package on at least 5 cruises.
  22. I would love to sail from New Orleans but these two ships make it far less appealing. Been on the Liberty. No complaints. No big props either. And given that the itineraries go to the same places I've bee a million times, a visit to New Orleans will have to do without a cruise. A Dream class there would have been nice.
  23. Maybe we will find out for certain on Monday. This ship also has no self-service laundry. Glad I'm platinum. Laundry Service: The Carnival Venezia is not equipped with self-service washers, dryers nor ironing rooms. Valet Laundry Service is offered through the Stateroom Attendant.
