  1. Yeah I didn't realize you COULDN'T buy it at all. I know there are drinks that are excluded where you would just use your S&S funds for. I'm thinking if you can't use Cheers, you would just pay that way. Thanks.
  2. What does Cheers have to do with it? Either you can get it on day one or not? You don't need Cheers to drink and it's not covered in the package anyway.
  3. All of a sudden, the discount code for that stupid cheers glitch is NOT working! SMH.
  4. Nobody should be surprised that the website is messed up. It's more than just pricing. It's all kinds glitches. They took it to down for two whole days, and surprise surprise, it's still not done "updating" and in most cases, it's worse. Sheer nonsense.
  5. If you're waiting for a gift card refund of this purchase, FYI I emailed Carnival about mine. Two days later the e-cards showed up in the middle of the night. I'm sure I would have been waiting forever to get it otherwise. So IF you're still waiting on a refund - particularly if you used gift cards, send an email. Worked for me on short order. Happy Saturday.
  6. Have used fly2fun numerous times. (At least 4) And have always been able to pick a main cabin seat right away. Just couldn't pay for upgrades until after the cruise was paid in full. Never used AA though. Maybe that's the difference.
  7. They don't add them back on when they apply grats to everyone's account?
  8. Yes they have the best spas of all the Carnival ships along with Splendor.
  9. I've sailed plenty of smaller ships with Carnival and enjoyd them all but the fantasy class isn't even on my radar anymore. Conquest class is an option if the timing, price, and itinerary is right. Otherwise, its Dream class and up. I like all the people, food choices, and activities offered on larger ships. I think they are pretty when docked in port next to other vessels. Sorry but keeping it real, I don't like getting off and on the oldest and ugliest ship in port. The only thing I don't like is the limits on where the big girls can go. So for that reason, I do consider others. I'm already sick of the limited itineraries offered by the Xcel class, but I'm willing to deal with it.
  10. I used gift cards, so expect it sometime in 2024!!
  11. Yup. And I'm guessing people who are reporting to John and in groups that the code doesn't work are either not signing in under the profile it's attached to and/or trying to use it more than once.
  12. I have 4 bookings listed under my profile. One is for my girlfriend cause I do everything for her when we cruise. 1 other booking is listed under my profile, but I did not get cheers for that one during the glitch. However if I add cheers to all of those bookings and use the promo code, it works for all of them. My girlfriend did not get an email, Nor does the code work for her when she's logged in. So you can use it for any booking listed under the profile used when you purchased during the glitch. But you can only use it once. Hope that helps.
  13. You will have to buy your packages all at once. You can use it for cruises where you didn't buy cheers during the glitch. But you gotta use it once logged in under yourself. It's tied to your profile, not your booking #.
  14. I agree with every word. They're twisting themselves in knots over their mistake. That they left up for like 12 hours to boot! People will just spend more onboard. Maybe even book another cruise with the savings. This coupon code/refund stuff ain't it!
  15. Then you can't buy it in advance online for the rest of the cruise. People would get stuck paying the higher price. Not fair since the glitch one day price is no cheaper at all. I don't see how this discount code would work anyway. Or are they doing away with that? What if you brought it for several people in one transaction? Is there one code per transaction or one pp? What if you got it for two people in one cabin separately? Are there two codes? lol. Plus there are people onboard who I know that's been using it mightily since yesterday when they boarded 🤪
  16. Royal also had a drink package glitch a few years back that was even more drastic than this one. People were getting it for under $20. And they honored it. Glitches happen all of the time. Like when that airline had $10 fares to Hawaii some years ago. Every ticket was honored. Good catch sometimes if you're lucky! lol
  17. You had till March 31, 2022 to at least have a new cruise booked with those credits.
  18. Supposedly that is what happens. At least Carnival says that's what they do. It's still not pre-screening. There's no way to do that unfortunately. It's all beyond ridiculous.
  19. Problem is you don't know they are a holes until they start are involved in a fight. Supposedly nobody who has ever had one onboard is ever allowed back on a Carnival ship, so there's no way to prescreen. lol.
  20. It's very true. My girlfriend just booked our cruise for next year with that rate. I had a similar offer and used it. My onboard credit was $200. It's not too-good-to-be-true. You're giving the money right back to Carnival!
  21. We usually get outside insurance, but a few years back I did get Carnival's insurance and had zero issues when it came to filing a claim. That was the second time I had to do so (first was using a policy found through squaremouth) and the process was quick and easy. Had to do with an unexpected illness. Nothing preexisting. Claim was processed and fully paid inside of 4 or 5 weeks. So sorry for your troubles. No fun.
