  1. On our Mardi Gras B2B in April we had 5400 on the first leg, 5800 on the second leg. It was crowded, but you learn to deal with it. Such as lining up 45 minutes ahead of time for the comedy club and theater. For Center Stage we got there an hour early to get good seats on the floor up front. Heck, there was a line for Build a Bear! 😁 Edited to add that we still booked a B2B on the Celebration next April! 😁
  2. I expect those bookings to disappear tomorrow or Sunday.
  3. Yep. Funny how they are waiting until Monday, coincidentally the same day that the Carnival Venezia itineraries are being announced.
  4. We will be parking at the pier. You can probably do better cost wise by parking off site, but we don't like doing the shuttle thing. We just like getting in the car and going once our cruises are over. See you on board on the 16th! πŸ€—
  5. Really enjoying your review! Thanks for taking us on the Valor. Meet you at the Blackjack table!
  6. Don't worry, you'll find it. It will be on the left hand side shortly after you pass the port entrance.
  7. We noticed the decline of the Radisson even before the pandemic, so when we booked our B2B on the Mardi Gras last April, we decided to try out the Hampton Inn / Home2 Suites. It is a fairly new property, and it is closer to the port entrance than the Radisson, and on the other side of Astronaut Blvd. The hotels are set back so they are hard to see from the Blvd. We have a ton of pictures of the property starting on page 1 of our B2B Mardi Gras review, which is in my signature. We liked it so much we will be going back there in January before our Freedom cruise. We know that there was some type of shuttle service to the pier from there, but don't know if it was affiliated with the hotels. Like you, we also prefer to park at the port.
  8. As stated above, if your excursion was canceled during the cruise, the refund would have been credited to your sail and sign account. If canceled before the cruise it would have been credited back to the original form of payment. Which was it? 😎
  9. What wasn't confirmed is if the Venezia will be the second ship sailing out of New York this summer, or is she replacing the Magic, as it appears per the 2023 Bermuda Port Schedule. Also, if the Venezia is going to sail from NYC year round, she's going to have some longer, more exotic itineraries during the winter. 7 or 8 day Port Canaveral, Nassau, and Freeport itineraries aren't going to cut it. 😎
  10. Couldn't have said it better. My PVP automatically takes care of this for me, but I'm so anal that I'll always stop at Guest Services during the first leg just to make sure! 😁
  11. Just missed again. We are on the 1/7 sailing. 😎
  12. Very nice! We'll be on her in January. Thanks for sharing! 😎
  13. The bowling alley balconies on the Dream and Vista classes are all the way aft on decks 6,7,& 8 next to the aft wraps. 😎
  14. To us a Vista Class ship is really a "Sunshined" Dream Class ship. It is on the same platform except that they added about 60' to the stern to support the Havana area on Deck 5. That Havana area is the only reason for us to book that class of ship. The Venezia doesn't have a Havana area, so that's our quandry. We had the same bowling alley balcony for our B2B on the Magic, so if they assign us to the bowling alley balconies on the Venezia, we still may go. Got to think about it. 😎
  15. We have a B2B booked on the Magic out of NYC next September to the Eastern Caribbean and Canada. I was hoping that Carnival was going to have both the Magic and Venezia sailing from NYC next summer, but with this information it doesn't look likely. Not sure about how we will feel if we are switched to the Venezia. I guess time will tell. 😎
