  1. A quick search of Cruise Critic found this thread
  2. With Royal and Celebrity under the same corporate umbrella, I can see that as a possibikiy. Going to Princess miht be quite a different story.
  3. Where did you get the idea that the ship is docking there? The screenshot you provided says it is a tender port.
  4. It’s way too soon to come to the conclusion that Celebrity has gone back to plastic fleetwide. Maybe the aluminum ones just weren’t available on your sailing
  5. Its basically just a simple cancellation of the first two cruises and leaves the third one untouched. They are three independent cruises and you should not be forced to reprice the third one. Although you may lose the hundred dollars discount, often you don’t because they don’t notice it
  6. Perhaps there will be some insight if you look at it historically. The Captains Club happy hour was in the back long before there was such a thing as a beverage package, when all drinks were purchased one at a time. In those days, the happy hour included passed hors d’oeuvres, that took time and effort by kitchen staff and waitstaff. On turnaround day, there are almost always dozens of new staff members who join tge ship in the morning and have precious little time to settle in and jump on their new duties. Some barely know their way around the ship. Having a slightly lighter load for the first evening made perfect sense from a staffing point of view. Also, since it was available to Captains Club elite and above only, it gave the Captains Club host a little time to determine who was eligible to attend. It became especially tricky in the years when paper coupons were in use. These were put in your state room but in the case where a stateroom might have been missed, it gave the Captains Club host a day to fix the errors, and a happy hour started on day two. Move forward to the introduction of beverage packages. Everyone who wanted a beverage would be purchasing one, giving the opportunity for the bar staff to sell a beverage package. Today, for anyone who has a beverage package included in their booking, the happy hour is probably superfluous— Whether it is offered on embarkation day or not makes no difference to them. And for those who do not have a beverage package they would be buying their drink that night s has always been the case. So there really isn’t any incentive or advantage to Celebrity to change. It has always been thus, and probably always will be.
  7. Write your US elected officials……Congress is waiting to hear from you
  8. You can have a look at the app to see the wine list for blue, knowing that it might be completely different by the time you sail. For issues like this, there is a lot of variation depending on the bartender and the server. I don’t think there’s a definitive answer to your question
  9. Can you book the excursions you prefer privately? What’s wrong with the excursions on offer through Celebrity?
  10. You ask if this is new, no it isn’t. You just haven’t been to these ports before.
  11. Vancouver was not an ending port and starting port. It was in between the two US cities, your embarkation and disembarkation points. That’s the PVSA denial. These kinds of cabotage laws are enforced in many countries. It’s the reason that United Airlines cannot carry you between London and Birmingham. And why British air cannot take you from New York to Los Angeles.
  12. The amount of OBC will depend on the length of the cruise you are booking. The one category upgrade is available to everyone who has sailed on Celebrity, nothing to do with booking on board particularly The lower deposit is nice, and one of the main inducements for going to future cruise sales. The price of the cruise will be the same as if you’re booked online
  13. Try this thread follow to top of thread for more info
  14. Have you thought of just asking that travel agent how they got your information? If they’re legitimate and no threat, they’ll probably tell you what you need to know
  15. Timeline? When did you cancel?
  16. Open to all but also available for groups on board to rent exclusive use of for parties
  17. You already know that your assigned dining room is blue. If you are trying to go to one of the main dining rooms, they will try to make room for you but there is no guarantee, especially as you are wanting to eat at the most popular times. Your best bet is to consult with the blue maître d’ staff who will assist you in changing to the main dining room on a night by night basis.
  18. Brunch in Blu is only available to members of the Celebrity Marketing Department.🥸
  19. Diners in Blue on e class ships do not have the option to order from tge MDR MENU. That only works on M and S class ships.
