  1. Free shuttle to the port and any where you want to go within (2 miles?). When you book the hotel, book the pkg for cruises...IIRC it's called something like "cruise and snooze". There's also a pkg that includes breakfast. The breakfast pkg isn't a good deal for us as we frequently share 1 breakfast.
  2. Just noticed this. Not a good idea to pay in full BEFORE final payment date. If that's what you did. It's much harder to make changes, once you've paid in full. Of course, now you're past final anyway. Usually, it's best to pay the deposit, then either make small payments as time passes OR pay just before final is due. Keep in mind that TA's need about 2 weeks before final to have enough time to process your payment.
  3. Expensive. $20/day. We drive to our cruises the day before and stay at the DoubleTree. For longish cruises, it's cheaper. DoubleTree used to allow free parking for the length of a cruise. Our longest was 43 days. The cruise port parking lot was a definite...NO. DT has changed their policy and now charge $10/day (the last time we stayed there)...I think we broke it. 😂
  4. There will be paperwork in your cabin that tells you which one to attend.
  5. It sounds like you would have been better off with one of the soda packages and purchase WiFi separately. Your daughter can access your WiFi. All she has to do is log in with your cabin # and DOB (IIRC). One computer/tablet on the internet at a time for each account. As long as she uses your log in info, there's no problem. If you feel the need, you can purchase a soda pkg on the ship or pay as you go...meaning for your daughter. It may be too late to cancel the "Plus" pkg now. You could contact your TA ASAP and try...if that is what you want to do.
  6. Never bothered to look. I just get a print-out from the kiosk at Pax Svcs
  7. Usually (but not always) the second sea day and the day before the last sea day. YMMV, especially due to how port intensive that cruise is. BTW: welcome to Cruise Critic.
  8. We did the Blue Line once and never again. The Blue Line was out the door. It took at least 45 minutes to get to the check-in. As we watched people who had their Medallions walk up, scan and board (no line at all). Many will say, "just do the Blue Line, it doesn't take long"...unless you have bad luck and it DOES.
  9. Just take old, previously washed multiple times jeans. They should be OK. DH has had his jeans washed on the ship without shrinkage.
  10. Take the ship's tour (if it's still being offered). Best bargain on board. It was pricey ($150?), but the bling that comes with it makes up for the cost. The tour includes the laundry room.
  11. Everything goes into HUGE commercial washers/dryers. It's unlikely that they would do a special wash/dry for one person. If you have items that you want to give special treatment to, your best bet would be the laundry room. IIRC $3.50 to wash and $3.50 to dry, bring your own detergent and fab.soft. to save a couple of dollars. PS: if you get lucky the ship might have the laundry room set-up for freebies. It's happened quite a lot.
  12. You beat me to it!! I was going to suggest patches/gum.
  13. OP: if you have non-refundable OBC AFTER the gratuities are extracted from your account...go to a specialty restaurant, go shopping, try your luck in the casino. We've done all of those at one time or another.
  14. That's what land-based bars and restaurants said...
  15. OP: you need to be aware that the Future Cruise desk is now staffed by people who work for O.N.E. The will pressure you to sign up for an offering that sounds too good to be true and for most purchasers...it is. You can get Future Cruise Deposits without speaking to the Future Cruise staff. They're available on the Medallion after you board, there are (sometimes) flyers delivered to your cabin, and usually found at the Future Cruise desk for you to fill out and drop in a box. If you speak to the staff, just say "no, thanks" when they try to sell the their package.
  16. Plus, you won't be in California, hence California law wouldn't apply.
  17. Just wondering...do you have "location" turned off on your cell phone? When on the internet do you use a program that can mask who you are?
  18. If he can connect, he'll likely be limited on what he can do. The Amazon tablets aren't very friendly with anything that isn't Amazon.
  19. It won't be TD on the whole ship, just one MDR (or less depending on how many sign up). We've had some tablemates who were great and some...not so much. My most unfavorite was when we got stuck at a table for 8 (even tho' we requested 4). The man sitting next to me was never taught table manners. He chewed with his mouth open, talked with his mouth full of food, dropped some bread on the floor and put it on his plate with a scoop of salad dressing and ate it... there was more. We requested to be reassigned and never saw him again. Altho' we did get some "where did you disappear to" looks from some of the other people who had been at the table.
  20. Not much there...looks like most of the coupons are just to get you to spend more $$ on things you don't need. I miss the coupon for a BOGO (or 1/2 off one dinner?) that was available for specialty restaurants and a BIG bottle of water, IF you dined in a specialty restaurant. We combine them with one meal time in Crown Grill.
  21. It used to work quite well. I hated the Anytime/Anywhere that they foisted on us. I've always been a fan of TD.
