  1. Problem solved and a lesson (maybe a couple) learned. The big one is don't call CSRs, they rarely get it right since it's been moved offshore. Use a CVP or a TA.
  2. Good point...when does the OP's credit card expire? The app might not like a card that would expired before the sail date.
  3. Haven't been in those minis, but we did have a suite in that area (different deck - A101). We were on a San Pedro to Mexico round trip. Didn't notice any movement at all.
  4. Those "7 days" is the length of the majority of cruises. If you don't check your emails and credit card statements while on the ship, you would be past the "right to cancel" by the time you get home.
  5. Also, AFAIK there is not category for "junior suites". You may be thinking of mini suites, which are not actually suites and don't get suite benefits.
  6. Cruise Vacation Planner...they work for Princess. Some are very good, some are not.
  7. OP might even be surprised with a free upgrade. It could happen since the price for the original cabin (inside?) has gone up so much.
  8. You could bring your own...just have to leave any opened packages on the ship when you disembark. You can bring the unopened packages home.
  9. Also, if you have any OBC...it can be applied to your excursions pre-cruise (assuming it shows in your Captain Circle account).
  10. Any cabins available on that deck at the aft? That's our preferred location. Easy access to the Terrace Pool and a short staircase up to the buffet.
  11. Interesting...when we did the CT (way before the "pause"), close toes were required.
  12. As a general rule...all the ships do a Chef's Table (sometimes 2). Easiest way to sign up is to go to Guest Svcs as soon as you board. You can also call the Dine line (but you'll get a busy signal for most of the day on boarding day)...or see the person staffing the entry podium at whichever Specialty restaurant is open for reservations. Lots of ways to do it. If you plan on doing one, be sure to pack a pair of closed toe shoes (in case they've restarted the kitchen tour). BTW: not everyone who signs up will get on the list for the dinner (depending on the number of people who sign up). Space is limited to something like 12 people.
  13. Pretty sure that ALL CPAPs are dual voltage. The manufacturers send the machines all over the world. They got tired of making one machine for the US and a different one for just about everyone else. It's a money thing.
  14. Since the ship is new, there may not have been one...yet. Alternatively, no one has thought to report on it here. There isn't anywhere online to sign up for it, you have to wait until you're on the ship. Ask at Passenger Svcs after you board.
  15. Correct. Princess can still move you "up", if they want to even if you have "no upgrade" marked.
  16. From the pictures, it looks like you can have more than one meat (with the "yes" "no" coaster thingys. Is this correct? How many types of meat for one meal?
  17. The pictures are generally accurate. This is a picture of the "settee" that was in our one and only mini.
  18. One thing to know is that "mini suites" aren't actually suites.
  19. We had never gotten an upgrade. On our last cruise we booked an inside and once I'd jumped through all the hoops, I didn't check our cabin assignment again. When we got to the port we had been upgraded to a balcony at mid-ship. That was a nice surprise.
  20. That's really interesting. Thanks!
  21. How about a 1/2 price cruise? I might be able to talk DH into that.
  22. @CineGraphic posted about the response to his 2-year old letter to Princess and the embarrassing (for Princess) offer of OBC. That topic is closed, but I wanted to tell anyone interested that I just got one of those letters. I didn't send a complaint letter. I DID tell our CVP why we were displeased and finished with Princess. That was about 3 months ago. The response included this: As a gesture of our commitment to you and to show our appreciation for your patience, we would like to offer you an onboard credit of $50 per stateroom with us. To make use of this offer, we have already applied the credit to your account. This is just a small part of our efforts to regain your trust and show how much we value you as a member of the Princess family. This offer is available to book online, by calling 866.691.7037 or your travel advisor. The expiration of this onboard credit is May 10th 2025. The letter came from Alvin Stokes FIFTY dollars PER stateroom?!!! Thanks a bunch...NOT
