  1. Keep in mind that you have to make your reservation on boarding day. If it's a warm weather cruise with other legs (i.e. B2B for some cruisers) or you aren't on the ship first thing...there may not be any spaces available by the time you get to the Sanctuary to make your reservation.
  2. IIRC we've had candles. No cakes recently though.
  3. OP: before your wife races out to spend the leftover OBC...verify on the folio if what's left is refundable or not refundable. There are still a couple of forms of OBC that are refundable.
  4. If they won't allow a scoop, ask for an extra cup. Accept the "heart attack" dessert and scrape what you don't want off, put what you want in the cup and enjoy.
  5. I watched a video of the new Sun and the bedside tables don't have anything on them. The lights are mounted on the wall...at least in the cabin in the video. Also, an electrical plug-in and USB port are located there (convenient location for CPAP users).
  6. I notice several things missing that used to be there, i.e. daily bottle of water.
  7. Great way to prevent non-smokers (the majority) from going into the casino and dropping a lot of $$$ in the coffers.
  8. Sometimes they'll give it to and sometimes they won't. Maybe, a little harder to get that OBC since the shut down and all the $$$ problems PLUS sending cust. svc. to the Philippines.
  9. The directions are usually (always?) on the first page of the first day's Patter. It should be in your cabin when you arrive. If no Patter is in the cabin, go to Passenger Svcs and ask for one.
  10. It wasn't just the suite benefits that resulted in no EXTRA tip. He was the worst steward we had ever had in 25+ cruises (and that's saying something). Why should I have to fight to get the benefits that were on the list? If I hadn't had the list with me, we would have not got any of the benefits.
  11. Had to ask for the water, the flowers (never did get any), the extra mini-bar (we're Elite), suite breakfast door hanger, the fruit basket...the list goes on. I literally had to show the steward the list for each item. IIRC the only thing we didn't get was the flowers, but it was like pulling teeth without anesthetic.
  12. Princess used to allow that, but it wasn't required. Then they changed the policy to refund at cust. svcs. for OBC that was $25 or less.
  13. Probably. Each cruise is separate and has different passengers.
  14. NO! If you keep an open account in the casino on the last day of the cruise the $$ in the account is gone. Some report that they got a call to close out the account, but don't "bank" on it.
  15. We were in a suite on Discovery a couple of years ago. I brought a print-out of the available suite benefits and was glad I did. I had to show the list to our steward to get anything that was on the list. Even then, there were some items that we simply didn't get. And the steward didn't get an extra tip.
  16. How would the casino or Princess know that you're cashing out your ROBC? We do it all the time. The trick is to play the slots for 5 or 10 minutes before you cash out. Yes, you'll lose some of that "free" money, but who cares?
  17. I'm confused...the topic title is for "anytime" dining and the answers have been about "traditional". If OP wants anytime, it isn't necessary to do anything ahead of time. Just show up without a reservation or make reservations as needed once on the ship. There may be days when OP doesn't want to go to a show...or days when a late seating is preferable for some reason.
  18. Terrible location for the TV. Almost impossible to watch for the bed next to it. If the beds were made up as a queen...how do you watch TV? Sit on the bench or the floor?
