Favorite food on NCL

I leave for the Epic TA in six days and instead of working, here I am!! So here's a question (the wings thread got me going on this one)

What is your favorite food (or foods) on NCL? And are there any little-known special orders that are especially good?

two words: PRETZEL ROLLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NCL is the only one who has them (that I know of).

These are the pretzel roll sticks:

DH would echo the jumbo shrimp cocktail at Cagney's - they were HUGE!

This is a portobello mushroom stuffed with goat cheese:

The pretzel rods come in two shapes now. We disagree in my family which is better. :)

I don't know that I have a favorite food on NCL, but the ones that come to mind are the bbq and roasted chicken, Cagney's shrimp cocktail, steak in MDR or Cagneys, lobster tacos, hot dogs, grits at Great Outdoors, escargot at Bistro, etc. etc.

The little round pretzel rolls make great little sandwiches, but the long ones are great for dipping in hot soups or anything else that floats your boat! And you don't have to get as many of the long ones because they are bigger.

Chilled fruit soups !!!!

Yes, I just love that they are in the Garden Cafe! This last cruise is the first time in all our cruises that we have ever had dinner in the GC, always preferring a sit-down restaurant. But with the timing of our ports and the wonderful food available there, it turned out to be a great option for us.

Let me paint the picture for you...

You walk into the buffet.

When they bring out the HOT, FRESH, Pretzel Rolls (the rolls, not the rods) you take an entire basket with you.

Proceed to your favorite bar stool.

Consume ice cold beer with your FRESH, HOT Pretzels.

...and...if you are really on the F&B Dir's good side (and you ask nicely):

They will give you some melted cheese for your Pretzel Roll Dipping Pleasure...

I second the salmon tartar and I love the beef wellington. The pumpking crab bisque is wonderful. Anything at Le Bistro makes my mouth water. Ooooh, I have to wait almost 8 months to cruise!

The answer is the sail-away bbq burger.

As much as we love Cagney's for breakfast and lunch (and an occasional dinner), and as much as we enjoy the other specialty restaurants throughout the week, I most certainly have to agree with you.

A bucket of beer and the sail-away bbq burger.

The best meal of the week!

They definitely did not have pretzels of any kind the last time I sailed.

LOLOLOLOL

oh i'll be having plenty of that, that's for sure.. but man those pretzel buns look good!

I have a food related question...... do NCL ships (specifically the Pearl), have fresh raw veggies available and if so, where? I've heard about fresh fruit, but haven't seen anywhere about fresh veggies.
