Last night at my husband's company's summer party. Messing with the Canon D10. Liked how he's in focus but the water isn't.

A different son with the water more in focus (but it was getting dark):

Today with my Canon 40D. Our annual city (small town) parade. My above son in the high school band. We think the feathers look like Swiffers! Heh.

My 7-month-old granddaughter was not too impressed with her uncle's performance. :D

Here are some of my typical Florida backyard critters from the past few weekends:

A male cardinal enjoying the feeder:

A grey squirrel enjoying the peanut handouts:

A green iguana just hanging out in the shade:

Thanks guys. Funny, so many South Floridians were happy to hear how many of the green iguanas died off in our last winter, when we had our all-time record cold snap (estimates as many as 60% died). But despite their 'pest' and 'invasive species' status, I've always liked them...goes back to being a kid and catching lizards around the yard - the green iguanas are like a boy's fantasy lizard - 6-feet long and look like Godzilla! So I was actually pretty happy to see a few popping up around my yard again, as I thought we may have lost them all. This one was medium-sized - about 3-feet long. The largest iguanas are the ones that died first as their bodies couldn't handle the cold coma. This one was going through a change of skin (you can see the older white skin peeling on his neck). The colors of these guys are so vibrant - the greens are vivid and neon, and when they change colors to orange for the breeding season, they look like traffic cones!

Not from today, but from the past couple of weeks we spent roaming around New England, and particularly Bar Harbor, Maine.

P.s. Very nice lizard pictures. Not too many of those in Maryland.

Since we seem to be into critters, a tree frog in our corn patch. This is a young one, about

3/4" long. Adults are only about 1 12" but they are the loudest frogs you can imagine.

Great image! I fall asleep to these in Jamaica!

Ah, yes...they are loud, aren't they?! Nice shot - I haven't yet grabbed my camera to shoot one of these...but we have them around South Florida too. The only thing louder than them would be our perennial cicadas...those little things can really let rip!

I want to start a cruise/review/ with pics for my upcoming cruise.

Where are the instructions for doing what you guys are doing on this thread?

I have uploaded attachments for my cruises roll call.

But can't figure out how to just put pics in the post.

Are you putting it into word and uploading pages or saving as pdf or what.

Thanks for your help

The easiest way is to upload your pictures to a website such as Picasa, Webshots, Snapfish, etc. Then you can put the picture into a message using the directions on the website where your pictures reside.

Now, how do you upload attachments?
