How could princess improve your cruise

Hoping Princess read these threads.

What are the things you would ask them to improve on

Please be realistic taking into consideration the price :)

Eliminate smoking in cabins and balcony. Alternative maybe to have smoking and non-smoking cabins similar to what hotels do today.

 

Provide free-refill self serve fountain drinks.

 

Retain 14 day caribbean sailing RT Ft Lauderdale. It's being stopped after this season and replaced with B2B.

 

Improve internet access and speeds.

 

Love the dining options & Sanctuary.

Go back to serving brewed coffee everywhere on the ship.

 

Oh, and advertise, in advance any themed parties that will be held onboard. I would love to know in advance (it could be on my cruise documents) that there will be for example a 70's party, a sock hop, etc. so that I could "dress up" for the fun.

 

And just keep those yummy desserts coming!!!!

There are two things that are currently keeping me from booking another Princess cruise.

 

1) Significantly upgrade mattresses and bedding to the level of what HAL provides.

 

2) Build ships that are of moderate size: 1,500-2,000 pax instead of 3,000+.

I don't ask for much, just these 2 things:

 

1. No smoking in cabins and on balconies on one side of the ship as long as it is very clear before booking.

 

2. Include all soft drinks and water bottles in the purchase price of the cruise.

Have tea making facilities and free water in the cabins,we brits have tea every couple of hours and squash in between. My two daughters and I felt quite dehydrated especially as it was our first experience of the caribbean heat. We loved everything else about the Emerald and would go again like a shot.

it won't work since i wouldn't book a cruise if i couldn't get a non smoking cabin & a smoker wouldn't book a cruise either if they couldn't get a smoking cabin. Would you take a smoked in cabin knowing it was heavily used trip after trip? At a hotel when we travel we would never consider a smoking room - we simply drive or make reservations at another hotel.

Instead of just one for the entire ship

Have push buttons to open and close the public restroom doors and all doors to outside decks that are not automatic, plus have the key card open the accessible cabins like they do on all RCCL ships.

 

Keep the 14 day Caribbean cruise...do not like B2B

Don't roll up the sidewalks on activies the last night of the cruise! The cruise is supposed to last until the next morning. I hate it when the hot tubs are closed, they are cleaning the gym etc. and MUTS with no amenities or refreshments and trying to watch it huddled under beach towels was no fun. It doesn't take all evening to pack. Let us have some fun! There need to be some things to do other than go to one of the lounges!

I thought of one more that would be great:

 

Update technology to allow passengers to review their onboard spending from their cabin using the TV.

Maybe they already did this: Let passengers with private excursions get off the ship the same time as Princesss excursion passengers. That was my only complaint (St. Petersburg 2009) in 3 cruises.

Hire more large catamarans in tender ports to speed up the tendering process.

Let us know the theme nights in advance.

Better bingo prizes.

Improve the captains cocktail party, perhaps make it a real party with dancing, music etc. instead of half an hour of watery cocktails, non existent canapes and total envy of those who have racked up hundreds of cruises.

 

And finally

Bring back the brig for those rude, oafish, whingeing, inconsiderate passengers so the rest of us can get on with having a great time.

No smoking on the balconies and in the cabins would be nice. But at least ban smoking in the casino. They also have employees there that breathe the second hand smoke.

 

Keep someone on board that can fix the elevators as soon as they break down.

 

This is extremely minor but I was a on a ship (Crown? or Diamond?) that had bios of the cast of the production shows. It was interesting read about the cast we were watching. They ought to do that for every ship.

 

According to all the posts on CC, maybe they should rethink the anytime dining issue with the traditional diners.

I agree with the poster that suggested being able to access your account on the TV. If I remember correctly the Carnival Splendor had that.
