I found this question on the Carnival board with some interesting results:

I was just wondering how Celebrity cruisers would respond to the same question:

Please choose as many as apply - that way there is no need for an all of the above. In addition it would be interesting to see/read WHY you choose Celebrity over it's competitors:

Service cannot be beat on Celebrity. I also like the fact that I know so many of the people who work on the ships that it always feels like I am going home. Also love the fact that I can leave out of Bayonne, NJ which is only 30 mins. from home. I still fly to Florida or elsewhere to catch a Celebrity ship because I find their cruises fit my personality.

I chose Other as well because, in my opinion the BEST reason:

NO SMOKING BALCONY/CASINO POLICY :D

Same here. Clean air is a HUGE selling point for me.

Also for us the addition of Select Dining is a cruising must have for us.... another point not on the poll.

Amen, Amen, Amen. My reason for ditching a 12-night out of Baltimore on the Enchantment of the Seas or Carnival Pride and flying to Florida to pick up a ship.

NO SMOKING.

I wish we could pick several answers because it is the package deal of Celebrity that has us sailing on her again. From food to service we know we might be paying a little more for Celebrity but we also know that our trip will be FANTASTIC... I dont have as much faith in the other lines to say that about them!

Ditto the smoking policy. I'd be curious how it would rank if it would be included as a choice on the poll and if only one answer were allowed.

Add myself and my spouse to the growing list. Yes there are other reasons we like Celebrity but the main reason we switched cruise lines was the restrictive smoking policy.

If it was a category, it would probably be close to the top.

I bet it would BE the top pick! :D

I agree that the smoking policy is a big attraction. I would have voted for itineraries apart from the 'close to home' addition. We don't mind flying to cruise more interesting itineraries, and would like to see some Far East cruises. We will probably have to use another line for our next booking because we want to go to China and Japan.

I chose other... the reason is the smoking policy, as well as my sister has cruised X for years and raved about it...so I am taking my first cruise in May to Alaska... Have to add tho, the price at time of booking was unreal, and less than half of the going rate now..

Because they had an interesting itinerary at the moment we want to travel at a good price.

I also remember the service being very good. However, I wished they would do away with the formal uniforms for the waiters at the pool that takes away from my vacation feeling and makes me even feel uncomfortable :(
