Well, I've been sitting on this reply for well over 24 hours now... hope it works! :)

 

Here's the latest update, folding in all the posts since November 25th. I've only included updates for actual reports, not including speculation on future assignments. Those are too likely to change, even if the speculation was correct when it was made.

 

For the "Date Confirmed", I'm using the date of the post to this thread. So if you want to go back and read the report in context, it is easy to find that way.

Gavin Brown was our CD on the Legend OTS January 13-20, 2007, but he disembarked with us, saying that he was headed to Fort Lauderdale to be CD on Radiance.

Ugh yeah... we had him on the Brilliance this past summer. He was awful, worst cruise director I've ever seen. He had zero personality, zero stage presence, he was invisible around the ship, and he just seemed generally awkward. He'd be great for those of you who like invisible cruise directors.

 

We referred to him as Mike Runnerup. Hah. Hope he's better on your cruise! Maybe he's improved since last June. Either way, he didn't adversely affect our cruise, we still had a great time and I'm sure you will too.

Simeon Baker just sailed his last cruise as the Splendour CD and will be moving to the Grandeur when he returns from vacation. We never realized he was Matt Baker's brother (currently the NCL Pearl CD).

I don't like to run anyone down, but he was the assistant CD on the Explorer in 2003 (?), and I didn't care for him then. I'm not surprised that he hasn't gotten better, though it was always a possibility.

All I know is that I called C&A and they told me that hey will be on the Mariner when Becky gets off. If I were a betting man, I would say you will have him.

 

However, I heard that Graham didn't want to be a CD anymore, but only as a fill in. He used to post here, maybe he will come fill us in one day.

I sent an email for everyone at our 4/16 Roll Call to Diego, the Consierge, asking if he knew who would be LA & CD on the cruise. He stated with the shakeup onboard only God would know, as I posted his email to me.

 

So I end an email to C&A asking who LA & CD will be as well as a list of entertainers. I got the list of entertainers but they state that they cannot ell me who CD & LA are for security reasons. Yet folks phone & are told. How stupid! So the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing or that is the form letter saved on the computer?
