Celebrity Solstice - 9 December 2012 - 1 night

(it's my burfday :D) Lovely way to spend the day and evening :)

I believe the food on board is to die for.....and they have a sports platform at the back for direct water activities.:):)

 

Yes David, the food is excellent, never a bad meal. Make sure you have the fois gras and the lobster with vanilla sauce. in La Verandah, the french restauratn, but you do have to book.

The water activities are water skiing, canoeing, wind surfing at no charge and scuba diving at a charge. At the start of the cruise go down there and get your snorkelling equipment and take back at the end of the cruise. Enjoy.:D

The Paul Gauguin sometimes gets overlooked by cruisers down here, but sometimes they come up with some good specials. It is Luxury cruising and you certainly get what you pay for. To whet anyones appetite for the ship , and Tahiti , heres a link to a slideshow of our visit to the ship. We were on Regents Seven Seas Mariner from Ak to LA, and at that stage Regent were running the PG as well When both ships met in Bora Bora we were all invited to visit both ships.

Oh David, You took such great shots of the PG. You have just brought back all the lovely memories we have of this truly magnificent cruise. She truly is a beautiful small cruise ship.

If you have not yet been allocated a cabin I strongly recommend booking an aft balcony, No 767 if available. We had this stateroom, which is wider than the others and has the largest balcony.

Will go over the day before - Syndey was madness last year on the 20/21 Dec, and Syndey is not my favourite place really.

 

Have paid the deposit and as soon as I get confirmation we will book - probably this week. Have been keeping an eye on the flights and prices each day.

We are going on the Pacific Pearl 7th April 2012 which coincides with Easter. There will be hubby, myself and our daughter who will be 11.

 

Do they usually do anything special for Easter?

 

This is hubby and daughters first cruise (I cruised many moons ago on the Fairstar) so I am very excited and can't wait to introduce them to the wonders of a holiday on a ship.

Any kids club advice that you can share for an 11 year old girl?
